Too many women in the altar and running things. Priests approach their duty with the attitude of a regular person and not with the dignity of their vocation which is “ in persona be Christi”. Since Christ considers each soul as His bride, thus it’s considered best to limit female’s interaction on the altar and administering the Blessed Sacrament. Vatican ll was an anathema and it’s effects are on full display at St. Mark. I’m sure I will catch a lot of heat about my comments but it’s my opinion. Read moreWent at 10:45 during lent and this place was packed. The gospel was a long one, so when The homily started. He mentioned that and said his homily wasn't going to be short either. His mic was not close to his mouth so it was really hard to hear him, he talked for a really long time. After that they did a right of initiation for five people wanting to become Catholic which was weird to do during lent. And then to top it all off the flow for convenient was hugely inefficient. Read moreThis is a great church to visit while on vacation. We went to the Saturday vigil and the church was less than 50% capacity. The homily was very good, it had depth with a little light heartened humor. The priest was very personable. They have seating behind the altar and google maps brought us to the back door so we inadvertently sat there. It was ok but a little odd. It didn't make or break the experience.
