La Miranda Nails & Spa — Local services in Marco Island

I bought my mom a gift certificate for this place for Christmas. When I bought the certificate I asked for a receipt and I was told "we don't do that". The certificate was very generic thus I wanted a receipt to be clear that it was from La Miranda. No dice.

My mom saved the gift certificate until now and made an appointment 2 weeks ago for today February 14th at 9am. She showed up today and her name was no where to be found in the appointment book and was told that there were no slots left today. My mom explained that it needed to be done today (that is why she made the appointment 2 weeks ago) with close friends coming all the way from Canada to visit for the first time ever and to look nice for Valentines Day.

Since she needed to have her nails done today she requested a refund for the gift certificate so that she could go somewhere else asap. She was told that they do not give refunds. Meanwhile the place was filled with customers who were witnessing the whole thing (quite embarrassing!). My mom rightfully demanded a refund since they screwed up and finally after a lot of back and forth they gave it to her and she went elsewhere.

My mom is a Marco Island local, not just a tourist, and she is a member of many local clubs and my dad also lives and works on the island with many interactions of both locals and tourists. After such a horrible experience and bad customer service she will never be back and we will cetainly never refer anyone to La Miranda.

Thank you for ruining her Christmas present and Valentines Day all in one La Miranda, not too smooth! If you can't even take care of the locals I feel really bad for the tourists. Avoid this place and go somewhere else on the island if you know whats...

I got a call from the owner after my experience below and she was very considerate and refunded me my money. I am a big guy and I'm not sure I would recommend a masaage for someone my size. However my wife had a really really good experience, and she got a facial and manicure/pedicure. Long story short...I would never have recommended this place...bit since the owner called I think I was probably too harsh in my first review. Do not go to this place for a massage! Spare yourself from paying $95 for a lotion rubdown! Seriously...I asked for a deep tissue massage and the lady spent 40 minutes rubbing me down with lotion. This is the only massage I have ever actually gotten up from because it was sooo bad! And they still made me pay $70 dollars for it. I hope this helps so.e poor fool who is thinking about paying for a massage...

I just moved to Marco Island a couple of months ago and decided to try this nail salon. I had been going to the same salon, for many years, and had a wonderful nail tech, Annie, who was a close friend of mine. It was so hard for me to try and figure out where to go! The lovely lady, Anna, who works at the front desk was so nice and helpful, and made me feel welcome from the very start! The salon is clean and just has a great atmosphere for anyone who comes in! I love my nail tech, Daylen! She is sweet and beautiful and does a wonderful job on my nails and toes! I would recommend La Miranda to everyone and all of the girls in there seem very nice and good at their jobs! I am happy that I decided to go in there instead of going...
