Presidio County Courthouse — Attraction in Marfa

I'm from Los Angeles, CA so visiting Marfa, TX was a huge culture shock to a city boy like myself! The courthouse (along with the rest of the town) is frozen in time, all wood interior, small, and the floors creek when you walk inside. There's huge trees just outside the courthouse that drop pecans! I cracked one open and ate it, yuuumm! Best part about the courthouse is they allow you to walk up to the very top to oversee all of Marfa! The craftsmanship is phenomenal! If you have an appreciation for historical architecture, this might be a place to see. There is a little bit of history here-- as you walk through the hallways you get the feeling what it it might have been like to be here 100+ years ago. I came to visit the courthouse as I like old things and history. The architecture is amazing and the woodwork is in and of itself nice to look at. I walked and and went up three flights of stairs to an area they had open with pictures of the courthouse that were very old.
