Jackson County Public Library — Attraction in Marianna

We were traveling through and stopped to use wifi. No wifi we were told it has been out of service for a year. I’m very sad for this community that this is all they get for our Federal and State tax dollars. We live in Florida and were shocked to see where the dollars were spent. Facial recognition and automatic temperature taking. A lot of good that does for the anyone trying to access the internet for school and college. Bathrooms are locked and water fountain also cover for COVID. I left this library feeling depressed for the community. Compare this to the Public Library in Bridgeport AL - population 2500. They have new iMacs, blazing fast internet and WIFI. They welcomed everyone to use their computers. Lets improve this library to improve the lives and educate of...

I haven't been in a library in ages and I forgot how much I love being surrounded by all of those books. They have movies, magazines, books of every genre, and so much more. Plus, they have several computers with internet access that the public can use when you sign up for a free library card. They also have evening/after school activities for families with children of all ages. Everyone is so nice and helpful! I know there are a million things they offer that I'm not remembering or don't even know of. The only thing that I didn't like is when you make copies or print from the computer you can only get black and white, no color prints or copies. Other than that tiny detail, libraries are...

I'm very disappointed, the library has no real parking, and the rich people nextdoor don't want people parking in front of there house. So they put up no parking signs and blacked out two or the spots along the road... Across the street they poured concrete from the road to the side walk. And now they park across the sidewalk. I want to know who allowed the neighbors to be this arrogant, that there wants can inconvenience the public... Plus there is not enough handicap parking, I was told there is a parking lot behind the building, but, you can't drive back there, due to barricades... I can't believe this has been going on unchecked for...
