NEVER take your animal to these people. I should have known the way that my fur baby acted (not wanting to walk up the steps, trying to scratch the door to leave when we did go in, etc) to leave with her in my arms. I wish a million times over I did. First of all, she is a small dog that weighs 15 pounds, two hours AFTER her grooming appointment and they still weren't done. When I showed up and walked in, the lady who was supposed to be taking care of my dog was at the front desk on the phone, my dog was barking so loud I could hear her before I walked through the door. I stood there and waited, at first, she seemed to look ok, but very eager to come to me. After I got her home, I realized they cut/nicked her skin behind her ears, on her stomach, on her private area, and her paws.
It has been weeks, and her skin is still red, scabs are all over her body, and now the insides of her ears are red and hurting. Apparently, from what the Dr has said, she picked up some sort of bacteria/infection due to being cut/nicked, unclean environment, etc. Hopefully the medications they have put her on will help soothe her skin and heal the sores and scabs on her body. If you are like me, looking for a place to take your fur baby that you love with your whole heart, please DO NOT take them to this establishment. I don't care what the websites says about the owner being a retired Army nurse and their "training" on how to handle animals. I will NEVER let my baby come anywhere near this place or these people again and I advise anyone reading this to do the same.
PS. I have read the reviews and i am well aware that I will get a very nasty comment back from the owner. Note to her, I look forward to reading how you try to defend yourself and your staff this time. NO excuse you can come up with will be anywhere good enough for what this poor baby is having to go through. YOU ALL SHOULD...
Read moreUnprofessional attitude from owner. Told my grandfather that they complain too much and to not bring the dog back. Only complaints that were ever said were 1. Not to put powder on the dog, and 2. There was a schedule miscommunication where the receptionist said they weren't scheduled for an appointment despite having an appointment card from gypsy pet resort with that specific date and time wrote on it. When he tried to state this, she angrily told him to leave and immediately threatened him with police action. Going so far as to follow him out the store continuing to angrily yell. This comes as a blindside as he had nothing but nice things to say about the groomers and how good of a job they did. But due to volatile management they won't be going back. 5 stars for the employees. 1 star...
Read moreI have a tiny dog. They cut her up with the razor and then labled my dog hostile when she nipped them to warn them that they were hurting her. Then they told me I would pay 50 dollars, but when I got there not only was my puppy traumatized, but she also had a very choppy cut. The groomer responsible wouldn't even talk to me she was conveniently gone when I got there. They tried to hide what they had done and then charged me 70 dollars instead of the agreed upon price. They also won't even bring your dog to you till you pay. Please...
