The stars are for the beautiful view all around the building. It deserves five stars minus the goose poop every where.. I had a horrible experience in Marionette and the people who work here are uncaring, assumptious people. My sister and I got stranded there. We live in WestAllis WI which is not anywhere near there!! We were stuck for 2 days, with no where to go, no way to get home, and no sleep. We waited at a picnic table for hours, for a ride that never came. I went to the bathroom and when I returned a police car was sitting there. I sat back at the table and within seconds the officer made me aware he was there for us. The women inside had called them and the reasoning was because we were sitting there for over 3 hours. I didn't realize sitting in a park at a picnic table for any amount of time was a crime. They never came out to say anything & we weren't bothering anyone. All we did was sit there. The officer asked what we were doing there and i told him we had gotten a ride there and the driver drove away the day prior leaving us stranded there. We had never been in that area so have no friends to go by and no knowledge of the area. I gave him my id to show that we in fact weren't from around there. He replies with thats the kind of story he hears from someone who came there to buy large amounts of marijuana and heroin. WHAT???We did nor said anything for that response. We weren't meeting people or passing anything we legit were just sitting there. There was no concern or compassion from anyone for our situation, only dirty looks and assumptions. It was the first time we had ever been in that area and I gotta say I think it was my last. I don't understand why they wanted to cause us trouble, in an already hard situation. I hope if anyone else finds themselves in a similar set of circumstances, they get more compassion...

This place is super cool. If you haven't checked it out yet, do it. I went here for a field trip way back, and still love to stop down from time to time. Very peaceful place by the water. Awesome for anyone that wants to simply get out and about. I fish there once in a while. They have a playground, and museum, and much, much more. Plus they have fireworks and car shows from time to time. My favorite is probably the logging festival though. 5 out of 5 kitties love to stop here on a...

A wonderful and beautiful place to stop in and learn about the history of the logging industry and Marinette. The staff was amazing. I met an elderly gentleman who was a Korean vet and spent 35 years flying search and rescue. He had some eventful stories to tell. There was also a scavenger hunt for the kids that was really fun to do. It is also free but they do appreciate donations to keep the...

Great area on the shores of the Menominee River dividing Wisconsin from Michigan. When we stopped the Logging Museum was closed for the season but there was still plenty to check out. Several welcome signs, a small park, a walking trail right on the river, and some historical markers paying tribute to the logging industry made the stops worth it.

This was me in 1979 I’m a little older now but if you like history this is a nice museum to see, the hardships and the hard working history of logging. In this area , people took pride in the work they did.
