Outstanding Service at Marion City Library
I had a wonderful experience at the Marion City Library today and wanted to take a moment to recognize two outstanding employees: Mr. Ash and Miss Danielle.
Mr. Ash was incredibly helpful and pleasant as I stopped by to print some papers. No matter how many times I asked for assistance, he was always up and ready to help without hesitation. His attentiveness and friendly demeanor made the process smooth and stress-free. This is exactly the kind of service that makes public resources like the library so valuable to the community.
I also want to highlight Miss Danielle, who assisted me when I went downstairs to check out a few books for my 5th grader. Though my child wasn’t with me, I explained the type of books I was looking for, and she immediately stepped in to help with thoughtful suggestions and care.
Though I don’t visit the Marion Library often, the exceptional service from both Mr. Ash and Miss Danielle has definitely encouraged me to become a more frequent visitor. Their kindness and willingness to go above and beyond made me feel truly appreciated as a patron.

They really revamped this place. Computers are now upstairs and they have an awesome children's area where it's nice to know I don't have to have my children 100% quiet (as they are all less than 5 years old). They have activities for the lil ones, while I pick out books for them to take home, which is so nice! They have a family nook, where we like to sit on the comfy seats and take turns reading stories. The book fair is nice and the people running it are awesome. MOVIE selection is fairly up to date, although I have gotten some that skipped due to people not respecting the rented items, but this isn't common.. the staff are more than polite, their helpful and live to suggest books and movies catered to my liking. The online service is so hassle free. I just...
Read moreReceived a letter I owed for a book I returned. Their reasoning was because they quarantine the books, but still send out a bill for a book not returned...one of the individuals who answered the phone hung up on me because I wasn’t happy for receiving a bill for a book that was in fact returned. Then when I called back that same person answered, I stated I needed to speak to a supervisor, he stated, NO YOU DON’T and hung up on me for a 2nd time. I called back again and got lady who was helpful, but still doesn’t address the issue with the employee who can’t handle calls and allow someone to speak to a supervisor.
Supervisor called back - go figure they have no recourse for their employees hanging up on someone for wanting to speak to a supervisor.
Can get books elsewhere. Didn’t need the library for the past year anyways, won’t...
