You must enter through the Heritage Hall to see the Popcorn Museum. The Hall charges a reasonable admission fee. As you exit a friendly staff member will provide a box of fresh popcorn. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The hall contains a lot of memorabilia and local history. There is an area devoted to President Warren G. Harding. A neat fact for me is that the Hall is converted from the main US Post Office; I visited the Post Office many times while living in Marion. It is good to see it maintained and utilized. Restrooms and drinking fountains are on-site and accessible.

Let's clear some things up: there's one building here that contains both the Wyandot Popcorn Museum and the collections of the Marion County Historical Society. You pay one admission fee, and the popcorn museum is essentially just one room (albeit a very large room) of a larger local history museum. The best stuff here is in the basement: they have a fantastic collection of Warren G. Harding stuff, a much better collection than at the nearby Warren G. Harding presidential museum and library. And yes you still get a box of popcorn with your admission.

For a small to medium size town, this is a significant local history museum that is unlike any other in North Central, Ohio. The Marion County Historical Society operates the majority of the building with displays and items local to the area. This is no mear collection, but a carefully curated space dedicated to the city and county that it serves. The popcorn museum operates its displays in an amazing "indoor big top" within the building. For a day trip, it is well worth the time. Docents are helpful. A small gift shop sells items and books and those sales help to support the museum. The main entrance faced Church Street, however the building is...
