I came here on Eid Al-Adha, and while I understand the holiday brings large crowds, I believe the way the facility accounted for it was very unorganized and inefficient. To provide some context, I arrived at the farm at 9am and by the time I left it was 5:30pm. Clearly, this is absolutely unacceptable, I've been to plenty of other places where I've been in and out on Eid Al-Adha within two hours. To start off, there were no reservations, which I think prompted most of the inefficiency issues and backlog of people trying to slaughter their animals. On top of that, there was only one cutting machine for all of the 400+ goats/lambs/sheeps/ they had. The other cutting machine was exclusively being used for cows. But how can you only have one cutting machine for a holiday that you know will bring massive amounts of people?! I do not put the entire blame on the management, the severe backtrack of people was also due to the lack of following procedures by our people. When the management had a specific method the they assigned and numbers they had given out, everyone bypassed the process and looked for ways to undermine and cut others who were ahead of them. Plus, the workers and the owner were nice and very accommodating, it's just that I feel that they didn't have the proper arrangements in place to handle the holiday. I spent my entire Eid here on a day where you're supposed to be with family, which is fine because I was able to slaughter my animals Alhamdulilah, but I don't think I will ever be coming back to this place...
Read moreMy family and close friends have been going to this place for over 21 years but the operation and services have been deteriorating. The workers, who make their living from their, have become less professional and inconsiderate of the customers whose patronage of the place give rise to their incomes. They cut the meat without wearing gloves and on my last visit, the guy kept picking his nose and spitting on the floor while cutting the meat. I was so disgusted with the unhygienic behavior that I almost abandoned the whole meat there. In the middle of the COVID pandemic, you would think that they would take even more precautions.
The old man in the goat barn is clearly out of it. He was cursing and yelling through out. Worse yet, he forgot to bring out our goat for slaughter. They were almost about to give us somebody else’s much smaller goat, if we were not paying close attention.
The owner of this farm may still be involved in running the business and cares about his customers. His good business sense was the foundation of his success. If he is, I hope he reads this reviews and I hope he has not given up on the business. While I understand that it’s hard to find good workers today, the people working for him need to be retrained on proper hygiene and professional business practices, especially for a sensitive business like...
Read moreWe have been buying live goat from Godak farm for over 14 years, and they do great job providing us with healthy animal, helping with killing, cutting, and cleaning the meat/packing them neatly. However, since couple of years, we noticed that a few parts of our meat were missing, obviously stolen while being cut into small pieces by the men employed to prepare the animals; we never reported the incidents until this past week. My husband bought a live goat worth $490+ from Godak farm, when i opened up our packages of meat after he got home, the head, several organs parts, some of the ribs cages, and several parts of the goat meat were missing. We called Godak to report the incident, nothing was done about it. I just want people to be aware that the men working at Godak steals from their customers. If you must go there, open your eyes and fix your gaze on them when they are cutting your meat. This is a very painful experience for me, i hate being cheated. We would have returned the whole meat but, unfortunately, Godak was closed for the day when we realized we...
