Shops at the Pond — Attraction in Marlborough

For clarity, Shops at the Pond is the small plaza just down the road from Solomon Pond Mall. The shops there include DSW, Pure Hockey, Eastern Mountain Sports, and Best Buy.

Honestly, the plaza is decent. I look at it more as an extension of the mall, housing retailers that, when the mall was at full retail capacity, just didn’t get the chance to get in. Now with the mall at less than full capacity, and seemingly dropping week by week, this plaza seems to be slipping a bit. The parking lot can get kinda rough at times, and the businesses are just alright. I mean this plaza has seen plenty of tenant, anybody remember when there used to be a Borders bookstore there? But to be frank, the selection is just good enough. It serves it purpose, and while limited to only 4 retailers, their large formats at least provide...
