It's a mall people. Plain and simple. And yet they deliver restaurant quality/home cooked wonderfulness you would have at your favorite aunt's house (assuming your tia can make her corn tortillas fresh and everything is scratch made with the best ingredients!). It's fast food that isn't served too fast. It's served RIGHT. The right temperature, flavor, piled generously with meats or veggies, lovely toppings (cilantro, perfectly chopped onions...). High on the delicious scale. Higher on quality and the loving craft that goes into making food that tastes like food - simple, clean, straighforward home-cooked food. I am a fan of both the al pastor and steak street tacos, but I am known to crave their refritos. My son swears by their al pastor quesadillas. Some of THE BEST in the metrowest! Tell Don Leo Miss Rita says hi, take a patient seat and wait to enjoy your delicious order! Or deliver, they will send it to you!...
Read moreWe stopped in at the Solomon Pond Mall to see what their food court had to offer for lunch. Burger King, Sarku Japan, Thai Kitchen... typical mall restaurants. Then I happened to see 'Street Tacos'. on a menu at this mexican restaurant I LOVE me some street tacos!! We placed our order at El Sombrero Taquiera: A burrito with only rice, beans, and veggies for the wife, and the 2 street tacos with rice, beans, and a Jaritos Mandarin for me. 👍😎 My wife ABSOLUTELY LOVED the burrito! She said the rice was outstanding, and the chips that came with it were addicting! Both of my tacos (al pastor and chicken) were amazing! I also cuncur on the mexican rice- very good! The workers there were also very friendly. We engaged in a short conversation while waiting for our food, and they were very kind. Overall we were very satisfied. PLEASE choose this place if/when you visit the Solomon Pond Mall food...

But I paid $15 for some of the worst nachos I’ve ever had. Like - I would have preferred to make them at home or eaten Tostitos and some jar queso. The meat was super under seasoned and dry and the dish as a whole just fell totally flat. I ended up not even finishing it, which is rare for me.
Maybe my biggest mistake was thinking nachos in a mall food court would be a good decision. Either way, don’t have too high of expectations for this place. I’m shocked that it...
