Sarku Japan — Restaurant in Marlborough

I went to Sarku with my husband and son about a week ago on a Friday. We got 2 chicken teriyaki, 1 with extra chicken and 1 regular, costing us about $25. As I was eating the one with extra chicken, I had gotten a big piece of metal screw in my mouth. Luckily I did not bite down on it, otherwise it would've broken my teeth. I gave it to my husband to bring to them. I have no idea how did a big piece of metal like that got into my food. What if I accidentally swallowed it, or what would have happened if little ones ate them? I lost my appetite. The manager was contacted and he did gave us back a refund for one regular chicken teriyaki, even though that was the one I paid extra for chicken. I would highly recommend anyone young or old, if you decide to eat at Sarku in the Solomon Pond Mall in Marlboro, to please make sure you check your plate before consumption. As for us, I am not going to ever risk my teeth being broken or accidentally swallow any foreign object. Their food is definitely not worth any of that. Not to mention that their teriyaki sauce is so diluted that they are really runny now compared to before, and no siracha sauce. First off the guys cooking need to actually focus on the proper portion of protein to put in orders. They are very nonchalant about cooking the food and plating it correctly. I ordered a chicken teriyaki and paid for extra chicken. They gave me the normal amount of chicken and a bunch of white rice. The veggies were barely cooked. They were raw and flavorless. The cooks they have don't care to prepare the food the right way. I looked at my food and felt ripped off. Barely any chicken but a ton of white rice. Paying for extra chicken and not getting extra chicken. They only get 2 stars for flavor. I wont come back ever. Not worth $14. I definitely regretted passing on Thai kitchen or China Wok for this place. I threw away most of the white rice. It was way too much for so little chicken. I have been eating here for years and NEVER had a bad experience OR a bad plate of food. While i recognize no resturant is 100% and may have an off day because they're human, as far as me and my family's experience, they get an A+ from me because I've ALWAYS had a positive experience. I drove from Worcester yesterday and as always, the food was great. I got their beef and shrimp with white rice and veggies with a chicken eggroll. Drink was their pomegranate drink. Tasted great.
