My husband surprised me with a wine blending class here almost a year and a half ago. We left our wine to age there. Big mistake. A year later, we tried to contact them about picking it up. Getting in touch with anyone there is nearly impossible. It is a 1.5 hour drive for us to their location. We have been trying to coordinate with them to pick up our wine since May of this year. Each time we have reached out, if we got a response, we were told they would get back to us. No one ever never would. We wanted to plan a day trip to the area before the end of October and have been trying to get an answer for several weeks about when in October we could come by. Finally, today we are told that they found our wine and that we can come by during work hours starting on Tuesday. Tuesday is the start of November so we would have to make a special trip AND take off work just to get the wine since our other reason for visiting the area will be closed for the season. Ridiculous since we have been trying to contact them since May. Plus, how and when did they lose our wine. That was the first we learned that they couldn't locate our wine. So we are essentially out $300! Their business model seems highly flawed if they cannot keep track of customer's wine and cannot respond to coordinate wine pick up. Maybe that is their intent. They get our money and we get a lot of headaches. I canot recommend Vino Bambino and would say it is completely...
Read moreMy review is long overdue, but I was reminded yesterday when I called to inquire about the wine I made here for my birthday. I realized I absolutely had to share my experience!
For my 31st birthday, my partner booked us a wine-making class here, and the experience was nothing short of amazing. We arrived a little early, but from the moment we met our instructor, John, I knew we were in for a great time. John greeted us at the car, opened our door, and walked us over to a chic patio where we enjoyed some wine and crackers while waiting for the class to begin.
During this time, John gave us a brief history of the winery, shared stories about his own journey, and spoke about his family’s passion for wine. These moments added such a personal and heartfelt touch to the experience.
The wine-making class itself lasted about three hours, and I was honestly sad when it ended. It was fun, lighthearted, and incredibly informative. I walked away with a newfound appreciation for wine and the intricate process of making it.
What truly made this experience unforgettable was John. His energy was infectious—he’s charismatic, knowledgeable, and knows exactly how to entertain his guests. He created such a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere that we’re already planning to return next year to make more wine—and, of course, to see...
Read moreBased on the reviews, I wanted to be able to experience what others have already and write a positive review. Sadly, I booked a Wine Blending class in August that never happened.
The agreement stated that any cancellation would occur at least 5 days prior to the event. So of course, I get a call a couple of hours before the event is scheduled to start saying that it's been cancelled, and when could I reschedule? This was a birthday present to my fiance, and I had no time to reschedule. I was given multiple excuses, which changed throughout the hour, as to why the event was cancelled, and was never given a cohesive, straight story.
I demanded a full refund instead. The owner wanted to give me a free shipment of wine to make up for the inconvenience, but I wasn't interested. After the call, he texted me, pleading to give him one last chance to make it up to me, and to please send him my address so that he could send me some wine in hopes that I'll reconsider in the future.
So I did. I gave him my address via text message. Surprise, no wine ever showed up. I had never heard from him again. The entire experience reminded me of the old stories of snake oil salesmen, just trying to reel you in with...
