I have shopped at Produce Junction for years....spend at least $25 a week which usually comes to over $100 a month ... Last week we purchased a watermelon...When we cut it open a few days later, it was pure mush inside and had no taste... better yet, the taste was not a good one ... I went back today to pick up some items & mentioned to the young cashier my experience. She asked if I wanted another watermelon or a refund ... I said the refund ... She then asked if I had a receipt ...Nope no receipt and truth be told, I can't ever remember getting a receipt - they stand there adding everything up in their heads ...When she asked her manager, he went through a whole oration that I should have brought the melon back (with gas prices the way they are ??? nope) ....Then I am not sure what he was checking but he was looking on the computer and said that he had no complaints last week about the melons...Okay ...so no other complaints but I got the one rotten one in the bunch ... I have noticed that the quality of their produce has definitely gone down and more than once, vegetables were spoiled within a day of purchase. I didn't get a $5 refund but I did get the last word in ... Poor customer service over $5 ??? Young's Produce in Havertown will get all of my business...
Read moreGood Evening Google Family. This is my very first time patronizing this location of Produce Junction and it will definitely not be my last. This location is the biggest of all the ones that I currently visit. Bigger than the one in Darby and the one in Glenolden. I believe I will be coming here from now on. They have items like fruits and vegetables that the other two previous locations that I named, do not have. The place is huge!!! Plus they have plants, flowers, flower pots and grave site markers. This place is incredible!!! It was crowded when I was here, but that is to be expected. This place is a GOLD MINE!!! I really enjoyed my shopping experience and I will definitely be coming back here again when I need more produce. I bought carrots, sweet potatotes, bananas, tangerines, trail nuts and cashews. I found a bag of tangerines that had one bad, spoiled tangerine in it and I gave it to the workers. He said thank you and told me to sit it over there on the counter where he could see it. Thank you Produce Junction, I will be back!!!! I liked that it was bigger than the other locations that I have visited. And they have more of a variety of fresh fruits...
Read moreI’m really irritated with the quality of the produce that has been provided. I’m frustrated with buying items and they are spoiled. Why isn’t anyone checking to make sure these items are discarded accordingly. Last week I purchased red bell peppers and cut them the same day to find mold spores. Today I cut into the yams and found they’re spoiled. It makes no sense whatsoever and I’ve been coming to this establishment and counted the previous instances as minor errors but this is disgusting. Someone can get sick from this. I’m so angry because one occurrence the sign for watermelons wasn’t posted and I noted the one that was. When I say it was pandemonium for a few bucks extra. This energy should be given to ensure quality items. I’m so...
