World’s Largest Gavel — Attraction in Marshall

Our final stop this trip in our World's Somethingest Somethings scavenger hunt.

This is one serious gavel. When they slam this down, that's it. Decision FINAL.

This is a beautiful town, and I would have liked to spend more time here, but we were behind schedule, so we snapped a few pics and headed onward to Bloomington.

Well worth the stop!

I would like to have gotten some info from a local about the opera house (I haven't been to an opera in far too many years) and the historic national road mural.

This is in the city hall and such a unique thing to see. Moreover, there was a little veteran memorial thing outside the city hall. I would recommend you to visit Marshall and see the Gavel and learn a little about the town.
