Overall, we had a wonderful time at Aquaport! Arriving shortly after it had opened for the day, we did have to wait in line for a while, and it was frustrating to stand in the sun, especially with a toddler - I would suggest some sort of shade for the queue. The locker rental was only a dollar, and plenty big enough to store two purses and a few dry outfits. There are four sections in the ladies bathroom: showers, changing rooms, toilets, and sinks - four or five rooms/stalls of each. There are multiple different levels to this water park, and the staircases cross in various places. It can be a challenge to figure out which option/s to take to reach your goal. Closest to the front is the kid's area. About a foot deep, several lifeguards (including at the top and bottom of the side), and a few small play structures. An abundance of chairs (reclinable and non) ring the surrounding concrete level. Below that are the options for slides or the pool/lazy river. Three slides are body only - one enclosed (blue), one open (green), and one whirlpool (blue/yellow). The fourth (pink) is open and must have a single tube - carried up by each rider. Each of those slides has a lifeguard at the top and bottom as well. At the bottom of the tube slide you can either exit, or immediately enter the lazy river (also accessible on the opposite side from slide exit with tube). There are three water "obstacles": a row of three buckets that dump their contents on whomever is below once they are full, a rainbow shaped water sprayer (mostly misty) that's basically unavoidable, and a row of three mini fountains. Lifeguards are stationed throughout the circuit. The main pool with a straight yellow slide is located in the middle of the lazy river loop, and seemed to stay quite full during the time we were there, so we only visited that section briefly. While there were some minor frustrations, overall it was quite the...
Read moreThis used to be our favorite pool to go last summer. This year, things have definitely changed due to being extremely short staffed. Every time we've went this summer, the lazy river has been closed, which is, not only, our favorite part, but is the largest attraction they have. When people are floating on the lazy river, it makes the extremely packed pool a little less congested. Being a**es to elbows with a bunch of people that you don't know is not fun. Plus, the pricing is insanely high, even when all the features are open. Even with a VIP card, we pay a lot to get in. They offer no discounts when attractions are closed. Being short staffed, they don't have as many workers to keep things clean. There was food wrappers and cups, that had fallen from the concession area, in the baby pool area by the slide. Several braids/clumps of hair were floating freely and catching some rays near the seating areas. It just made me want to go home and shower. The concession area was only offering hotdogs, sodas, dessert, and candy bc the fryers were broken until further notice. It just was not what it used to be. At this point, I know I'm nitpicking, but one of the lifeguards running the slides was sitting on the edge, barely paying attention to the people going down. When kids look to authority figures for guidance, I just feel like a horribly dangerous example was being set for the...
Read moreFirst time there myself, but 2nd time for my son and parents. So clean! We got there 30 minutes after opening on a weekday and there was no wait to get in, bathrooms and dressing rooms empty (and nice) and clean! The water was refreshingly cool and clean! Nice lazy river and slides! VERY fairly priced compared to other places I visited. The staff was mostly nice, with the exception of front staff Jasmine! Shout out to Jasmine because she was above and beyond friendly!!! Concessions and other staff lack communication skills and common courtesy customer service like eye contact and acting friendly even though they don’t want to be there, but partially not their fault due to their generation’s lack of interpersonal communication.
I suggest getting there early to secure your seats because even after getting there fairly early, we were lucky to get seats under one of the big umbrellas. Lots of seats in the sun and lounging chairs!
Not sure what the ride is called but we called it the toilet bowl and man it was ROUGH!!! They warn you about requirements of being a good swimmer and how to properly lay down for a reason!!! I did what they told me and still hit my head as I was entering the “bowl” and then it was rough coming out so I’ll not be riding that one again!
Great experience and I’d recommend this place for everyone either alone or as a...
