I had a great experience here! I found this restaurant through Epic Eats on Instagram. My husband and I have been trying new restaurants in our backyard. I hate going to the Southside for excellent and authentic international food. This place was HITTING. This is what we ordered: Pescado Frito – Whole Tilapia with banana chips, cabbage salad, & rice and beans Desayuno Hondureno – Honduras Breakfast (steak, eggs, plantains, & refried beans) Tacos Hondureno – (chicken tacos with toppings) Catrachitas – (chips, beans, cream, & cheese) The Tilapia was JUICY and had a fantastic flavor. I've never had real banana chips. Just the store-bought ones, and these were so delicious. I am sold. The rice and beans were so flavorful. We have Jamaican heritage, so this was appreciated. The steak was so juicy and tasted perfect. The plantains were good, moist, sweet, and just right for your taste buds. The refried beans are the best I've ever had in my lifetime. The Chips with all the toppings were terrific as well. They DID NOT disappoint. Also, the Tacos were the BEST. Those toppings were so good. We dipped our chips in what was left over. I will be coming back to this place. It is now going to be a staple for us. They are very reasonably priced, and they LOAD your plates! It's not stingy at all. Thank you guys!! Anybody who says this food and this place isn't good is LYING and a HATER!!!

Food 3/5: I'd recommend the Pargo Rojo ( pan fried whole red snapper) on a bed of banana chips served along with salad, rice and bean. Fish was quite small but I liked the texture and it was flavorful. Wings were coated with too much flour made them hard to eat. Pollo con tajadas was saucy and but the fried chicken failed me again. I also really liked the guanábana drink here - must try! I wanted to try maracuya (passion fruit) drink but they didn’t have it that day. I’d come back for the maracuya, red snapper and their Sunday’s signature dish Sopas de mariscos con coco. Service 5/5: friendly, fast and attentive Ambiance 5/5: casual atmosphere, fun vibe

I am from Honduras and had been craving authentic food from home. Let me tell you this is the first ever Honduran restaurant that it is 100% authentic. The savory dishes will make you feel like you’re back home! Everything was so delicious and ever since my fist visit I’ve been going back to try every single item on the menu. Something I will say it’s that music was way too loud and it made it hard to talk.

Recently visited with my boyfriend for lunch and it was our first time in. The first impressions were that the decor is a bit dated and mismatched but overall, nice and clean for a bar restaurant. Our waitress was so sweet and attentive she was great! The food was really good too! Both of us had never had Honduran cuisine before, so we were a bit unsure what to really expect. I was very pleasantly surprised we loved everything! Especially the plantain chips! We could've eaten a bucket of them with the dipping sauces, lol. The only reason I had to only give them 3 stars is their bathroom. It absolutely HAS to be fixed ASAP. There is only a single restroom for the whole restaurant, which is admittedly small, so ok, that's understandable. The problem is the extensive water damage and drainage problems in said bathroom. I can not imagine there isn't mold behind those walls with how water damaged all the walls were. With it being located right next to the kitchens, sadly, we won't be back until it's fixed. So please fix...

I dined in on a Friday night because that is when they have the Yuca on the menu, but they were out. I'm not sure if they sold out for the day, it was 6:30 when I placed my order, or if they no longer have the special on Friday. I ordered the red snapper. It was pretty dry and saltier than I expected but not terrible. Everything else was unremarkable. I also had a side of maduro plantain, which was cooked perfectly. The service was fine but I was disappointed that they automatically add the gratuity to your check, especially since I was dining alone. I signed off on my usual 20% tip before I realized that the check already included a tip. When I noticed that I basically tipped $10 on a $20 meal I tried to get the server to correct my bill, but she seemed reluctant to figure out how to do it so I just left to avoid holding up the line. I didn't enjoy the food enough to go back, so I decided not to quibble over...
