The facility use to nice and clean. The staff can be somewhat rude, lately its getting out of control. I had one of my kids summer camp and had pull them out because they just had kids watching movies and having unstructured play time running around outside why the camp teachers talked to each other. The pool was really nice when they first opened. However, I have seen mold specially in the baby pool. The life guards are beyond rude. Lately, we have encountered very rude life guards. One time we took are kids swimming hour before the pool closed. They told us the kids could not go into the baby pool because they close baby pool an hour before they shut the rest of the pool down. This never happened before we checked with front desk and they said the whole pool should have been open. The pool just shut down half an hour before the center closes. Last week we went swimming, there were lot of kids in the pool due to a party. The kids from the party got out some pool noodles and started using them. The life guards said nothing to them. Then my 6 year son pick one of the noodles up from pool and started to swim with it and life guard yelled at my son saying that the noodles were only for adults and my son doesn't understand things that well because he has austism. The life guard continued to yell at him threatening to kick him out. My husband took the noodle away and asked respectfully why was all the other children allowed to play with the noodles and explained that he found the noodle on the ground. The life guard started raising her voice with him. We left because we didn't want to fight over a piece of form that cost a dollar. Today, we took our son to the pool. He likes to go down the little slide in the baby pool. Again another rude lifeguard told my son he was too tall for the slide in a very sarcastic tone. I said ok, this was never issue before, what is the height restrictions? She told me she didn't know. I went to the front desk and they couldn't give me answer either. At other places including pools if there height or weight limit, it is posted. Also every time we go swimming the mold build up is getting worse. We will be getting a refund and going to J or the YMCA. This place is...
Read moreIf I could give them 0 stars I would! I rented the infinity room for an event I hosted and Debbie informed me as she was checking me into the room that I couldn't hang any decorations up. All of my decorations I bought were to be hung up and I paid a very pretty penny for the room so we hung them up. Then Debbie "checked" on us and told me in front of all my guests that I needed to take my decorations down. So I asked her if she kept my deposit, could I still keep them up? She said "that is a possibility but it's policy that you can't hang things so it needs to come down". So I literally took them down at that moment. Therefore I was under the impression I would get my deposit back. Well I just got a letter stating that I would not be getting my $75 deposit back and that If I chose to rent with them again (which will absolutely never happen) I would owe a $150 damage fee!! Nothing was damaged! I paid $240 to rent that room! It's absolutely ridiculous that you cannot hang decorations and they waited until the DAY OF my event to inform me. Not to mention, I had a friend that rented the room 2 weeks prior to my event and she hung decorations up and had no problem at all.
Debbie was rude and unprofessional. The staff was extremely unorganized. Every "guest" that was "helped" at the front desk that day was upset about something. It was unbelievable. I wish I could make this up. I sat there for 10 minutes and I witnessed at least 6 upset guests. This is supposed to be a community center. It's there to serve the community, not upset the whole community. They need to have better customer service and also inform people the day they book rooms that nothing is to be hung on the walls due to the type of paint. Well you can take my deposit and slap some paint on the walls that can tolerate some freaking tape. But they are too cheap and would rather scam people out of...
Read moreMy husband and I joined the Maryland Heights Community Center so that we can use the indoor workout facility. We have a good experience every time we go; it's never too crowded and it's always clean. They also offer personal trainers and excercise classes, although we haven't taken advantage of those services yet. Every time we walk in the door there are always friendly staff there to greet us. They closely monitor who comes and goes, and who is checking in. Speaking of checking in, there is an easy to use app to put on our phones that allows us to check in without needing a card. The app also contains other useful tools like a calendar full of excercise classes and other events being held at the center. There is also a state of the art pool complete with lazy river, a zip line, lap pool, and a couple water slides and a shallow kiddie pool. The pool is equipped with a lift chair for handicap accessibility. Near the pool there is a large gymnasium with basketball courts as well as racket ball and volleyball courts. There are party and event rooms of various sizes available to rent, and as an added bonus residents get a discount rental rate. There is plenty of parking up front, but there is also a huge overflow lot on the side of the facility. Overall we are happy we joined, the entire facility is beautiful and...
