Bear Legacy Adventure Trails — Attraction in Maryland

It is a nice park. Plenty of trails and lots of things for children. Looks like cyclocross cyclists would love it! However, its all dirt which can make it muddy after rain. It is also challenging in that the paths are uneven, with minor obstacles like fallen trees and uneven wooden bridges. This makes it less ideal for people may have trouble negotiating such surfaces.

Bear Legacy was awesome, had I been properly prepared, I would have done a review for my YouTube channel, but next time I am in the area, I am all over it. In the meantime, this place is full of trails and different obstacles built be boy scouts. You can walk or ride a bike on the trails. While it is in the middle of a residential area, and you can hear some traffic in certain areas, you do feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. The overwhelming road noise from hwy 24 ruined the experience for me. My family loves outdoor playgrounds and hiking, and we found a way to have fun despite having all the nature sounds drown out by the booming vehicle sounds that seemed to come from every direction. There are some cute elements (the 'fishing dock' and magma mayhem areas especially) which seemed most suited to toddlers and very young kids.
