I absolutely love this giant park. It offers so much. On one side, you have a huge barn yard with bathroom access, a huge playground, a historical building where you can find information inside when it is open, and plenty of tables to sit at, some under the covered area next to the barn. There is also a gorgeous garden and flower area where you can walk through and see all the things they are growing. The trails you can walk through are so fun. You really feel like you’ve driven somewhere far to get to this great place. In reality, it’s just right in the middle of Marysville. One part of the trail even takes you on a wooden little bridge over a stream area. It’s not dangerous or deep at all. If you keep going, you’ll emerge into the forest where you can get a stellar view. I’ve seen people larping (role play in costumes) in this area. The further you go, you’ll find a basketball court and a giant soccer field. There’s a fountain where they even stock fish in and have fishing derby’s occasionally for children! There is a trail you can take that goes behind the fountain area as well, sometimes it gets a bit muddy. The opposite side of the park boasts another giant playground area, and tons of field area which many have used for sledding during the winter months.
You can absolutely make a day trip out of this place. Bring food for a picnic! There is beautiful nature everywhere, and something for...
Read moreA lovely family oriented park in Marysville that even has its own pond that is only for youth fishing. A great place to hang out and have a bite to eat in a park. I go here when I'm in town if I want to fly my drone around the big Field and snap some photos from the air. They do have a patio with a roof that has a grill under it that I have used with charcoal to make burgers before. Pretty sure the grill is there for family use we used so we used it. There are outlets near the grill to plug in devices as well I charged my drone on them before. There is rarely any riff Raff at the park only seen some older folks smoking joints by the benches that are near the woods, but overall people seem to have consideration that a lot of children are usually...
Read moreThis park has two play areas, each with its own structure, joined by a short path with a descent incline/slope, complete with a little bridge in the middle. I would say it's handicapped friendly. There is a kid's fishing near the bridge! There are some neat extras like the big rooster, mural, old homestead, Master Gardener demonstration garden, and plenty of benches and parking. That said there is a rotary club see if they have an event there will e less parking. Seems like they take really good care of the facilities and they have a few buildings on the property. Public restrooms. There is a gas station and Starbucks less than...
