While there is kind of a lack of sushi options, (I just like sushi and wish there was a bigger variety of it here), it does not detract from the overall excellence of Kami Teriyaki. Instead, it presents an opportunity for the establishment to focus and excel in its specialty—teriyaki cuisine. The dedication to quality and customer satisfaction is evident in every aspect of the dining experience, from the welcoming atmosphere to the flavorful dishes served with a smile.

Read moreI'm not one to normally write a bad review but this time I had to. For the record, I've eaten at the Kami teriyaki in North Marysville and have always enjoyed and never had a complaint. This was different. I ordered Chicken and Gyoza, asked for the regular one, not the lunch menu (smaller). I noticed they had hot sauce on the counter that they put in tubs for 50 cents each. I asked the very unfriendly gentleman behind the counter if I needed to purchase one. He said "not if you are eating here". Great, paid and sat down. Order comes up, and it's the lunch order even though I paid for the dinner sized one on my receipt. I initially thought, whatever, I'll deal with it. I go up to ask for the chili sauce and instead he hands me a bottle of Sciracha. I look at him, say, what about those, pointing to the chili sauce on the counter (which was a different type of chili sauce with the seeds). He just points to the Sciracha and says "it's there". Now I'm like....ok. I gave them a 2 dollar tip without even trying the food, paid 12 bucks for the $5.50 lunch sized serving and now this guy is too cheap to give me a nickels worth of hot sauce. The nail that sealed the coffin was when I poured the Scriracha. Now, I don't want to sound all hipster or anything, but I am from Seattle and have been eating huy fong Scriracha since I was a kid and when my parents would have to go to specialty stores to buy it. I have a bottle in my fridge and a back up in the cupboard....when I opened the Scriracha and went to pour it on my chicken, it came out almost as thin as water. It also did not taste like the Scriracha I know and love. I thin km they refill the Huy Fong bottle with an imposter or water it down significantly to save some money or both. Like I said, I've eaten at the North Marysville store and have always been happy with it. But this one (don't know if they are financially related or what) I will NEVER come back to. The Chicken was average. My Gyoza were...
Read moreKami Teriyaki truly is a very nice find for Teriyaki. The chicken Teriyaki, rice and salad are a pretty decent size. The flavor and texture of the chicken are superb. It’s nothing like a fast group of foods put together thoughtlessly; I watched as they created a plate of fine art.Just like in an actual sushi bar , they really seem to me as they take pride in their foods quality and appearance.combining these qualities I look for in a meal that was beyond other like establishments. It’s not a Chinese restaurant nor a sushi bar, it’s teamwork put together with pride in their culture, which when you are caseous re; your health diet. I’ve been to almost as many Teriyaki bars as I can find. Since it is one of our families favorite foods , especially when you can be a little picky and ask to leave certain ingredients in or out to lead the meal towards the healthier end of the nutritional value. I would highly put my money where my mouth goes and it would be on this particular fresh find. One thing I take note on and I found this to be so. The California Rolls were off the chart far better than 80% Sushi bars., again in my opinion as well as a few other consumers I know. The ginger was as if they just cut it fresh, so fragrant and bright pink. I refuse to tare other places down and name the establishments that serve not so fresh ingredients, Remember these are not robots YET Thank God !! this is absolutely one to hold the bar high. The owner is one of the most thoughtful owners that puts his heart into the finished product and really gives a dam which you don’t find anymore. You just find over priced food that looks like it was left from days prior due to the raise in cost of running any food establishment now. It’s awesome to find a place these days that you truly do get what you pay for. I thank you and know your kindness and hard work does and will go on ever so...
