Mashpee Wampanoag Indian Msm — Attraction in Mashpee

The tour guide was very patient and accommodating. The displays and accompaning information were very interesting but had to be taken with the same uncomfortable feeling that one experiences when visiting the Holocaust museum and for precisely the same reason. It should be a mandatory stop for all school age children, instead of the whitewashed Thanksgiving story we were taught in school. I recommend this museum and hope it expands...

It was a great experience as a family to visit the Wampanoag museum. Perfect size (small) to keep our little ones engaged. The lady who welcomed us and did a brief explanation was very kind especially with my little one who was very excited about going to the wetu. My daughter Courtney, Mashpee Native, has been working in this Museum for yrs. It's a great museum to stop and learn about the culture/tribe that has been here for many generations before man kind. Small but full of true knowledge and information. Plenty of parking. Everyone should check it out. And learn about the Indigenous people/tribes that occupied this great area long ago and still today....
