The Massillon Museum, located in downtown Massillon, Ohio, is a delightful destination that beautifully showcases the region's rich heritage through art and culture. A highlight of the museum is the Himmelreich Circus Collection, which offers a captivating glimpse into the golden age of the circus with its impressive array of artifacts and memorabilia. This exhibit, along with the museum's rotating displays of local art and historical themes, provides an engaging and nostalgic experience for visitors of all ages. Beyond its exhibits, the Massillon Museum serves as a vibrant community hub, hosting a variety of events and educational programs that celebrate local culture. Its convenient downtown location makes it easy to explore nearby shops and eateries, adding to the charm of a visit. With friendly and knowledgeable staff eager to share insights, the museum offers a warm and enriching experience that both residents and visitors will find rewarding.

Finally had a chance to visit Massillon Museum and I was not disappointed! Upon entry I was greeted and was given a rundown of what exhibitions were currently on view along with their locations (including where the restrooms are!) Between the rotating exhibition spaces and permanent collection, it was truly nice spending the afternoon perusing the building. In addition to the gallery spaces, there is also a gift shop and cafe which makes it a perfect place to visit and enjoy the arts for the day. Because I visited during the week I had no difficulty with parking as I was able to find a street parking spot for free as soon as my GPS said I had arrived. If you’re in the area I would highly recommend stopping in and checking out the work on view!

Our first time to this museum. We attended a brown bag lunch to hear extra ordinary Jen Brumfield talk about birding on Lake Erie. Unfortunately, she had to bow out due to illness. Stark Parks staff stepped up and presented at last minute and did a stellar job. Disappointed that there were no outside handicapped parking! Need to keep website updated as the Soul Food exhibit was no longer available. Bummer. Appreciated the healthy food in their cafe.

I went today October 15 2020. I toured it there a kid art on the basement floor. There was in the first floor a old car. A dragon a new york Yankees jersey. There was a old camera from 1907. There was ansel Adams photos. A circus things. There was a white room with different clothing. There was on the 2nd floor Paul Brown things. I spoke to a worker named Anna about the museum on the phone polite over the phone. I talked to her after I toured she was nice. But after I talked to her she kept looking at her worker next to her after I would talk to her. It was at times awkward. After she would do that when I talk to her felt odd. I'm a photographer I like to go to places to take photos. I hope a manager try to get a hold of me about the awkward things Anna did. It made me...
