Benders Food & Spirits — Restaurant in Massillon

I was very skeptical when my friend brought me here, but I'll tell you what my fears were completely unfounded. The service was personable, attentive, and friendly. You felt like you left as a new regular. The atmosphere is actually really good for an old downtown bar in Massillon. There's more seating than the outside would indicate. The food stole the show. I'm picky about wings, but they were really pretty darn good. The patty melt was stellar and cooked to order. ( I can't tell you how much I hate extra well burgers that some placed mandate.) The dipping sauce for the fries was great. It's really much better than any chain restaurants in Massillon.

If you're in Massillon and in the mood for sports bar food... burgers and wings and such. Then you owe it to yourself to go to Benders Food & Booze. Don't drive to Belden and go to a sports bar that you know will be average at best when Benders Food & Booze is much better and...

Just picked a taco pizza up from here @ 815 and all I gotta say is its trash and nothing like in the photos. Diced tomato and not half cut cherry tomatoes like they show pictures of. And crust is like eating leather can't even chew the thing its so tough. Really disappointed by this experience. Id recommended east of Chicago taco pizza. Wouldn't recommend this taco pizza to my worst enemy. Normally satisfied with benders food but this taco pizza is trash can't even eat the crust its so tough. Under development dough that has no fluff to it rock hard. Not even a good firm like NY style pizza I mean rock hard no air bubbles in the dough. Highly disappointed and can't imagine they're pizza business holding on with the quality. 0.0 out of 10. I'll never tell anyone to come here.

Came here for the first time with 2 of my buddies last sunday . One of them, Ken, I believe, is a regular. Let me tell you this is not your typical overly greased deep-fried bar food. The California burger was top shelf. Vegetables fresh. Lettuce wasn't all warm and limp. Fried pickles and just the right amount of breading. I was impressed that this food was coming out of a "bar" kitchen. 5 stars all the way. I will definitely be back. The staff was super friendly too, I had a full conversation with someone waiting to go on shift about amazon prime TV shows lol this is the kind of lunch time energy I'm looking for in a bar and I don't even drink alcohol. The prices are good too. Very reasonable and the bar tender doesn't hover over you looking to see what you tip. I gave her 5% more purely for the courtesy lol keep it up guys I don't have one bad thing to say...
