I've been shopping here since 2012 with no issues until 5/27/16. Javier was very rude and disrespectful towards me. I went there to pick up a graduation gift. I wanted a symbol of a graduation cap to be added to the frame, but Javier didn't want to add it. He proceeded to give me a lecture regarding why I should have told them to do it before. I told him I did not think of it before, but I thought it would look good upon looking at it at that moment. I told him I did not need to hear his lecture about some mechanic scenario and he told me I would listen. Of course it turned into an argument because I repeatedly told him to stop "leturing" me. Yes an argument with the manager or manager's husband, Javier. Shouldn't he have respected my wishes? He threatened to charge me an extra $5 to add the symbol. Keep in mind that when you buy the item, the price includes all ingravings it can fit, yet he wanted to charge me extra because I didn't want to listen to his absurd lecture. Well, he ended up adding the symbol, free of charge. There were other customers in the store. I have dealt with his wife, Estella, and other customers since 2012 with no issues until I met him. I suspect he is prejudice and chauvinistic. I have never had any issues with anyone else in the Valley untill that day. I have been trying to get in touch with the owners since then, but his wife has conveniently been telling me that they are busy. I will continue attempting to contact them. They need to know that Javier misrepresented what a Christian Book Store should exude...kindness, courtesy...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been going to Viva Life for several years now and have always had pleasant experiences. They always have friendly and helpful staff that typically do not wait for a customer to go ask them a question. During my last visit I unknowingly dropped my debit card in the store and Maria called to the phone number that the store had on system based on the name on the card and waited for me to return even though it was closing time. I'm typically hesitant to register my phone number or email with stores because I want to avoid too much junk mail etc. Thankful I was in system and appreciate that she did call since it was Saturday night and the store is closed on Sunday. I also look forward to an event during December where they give out some great tasting hot chocolate and cookies. They do give customers a courtesy reminder of that event other than that there isn't too many notifications throughout the year. The store has really nice thoughtful items that can be used as great gifts for all types of...
