The new manager knows absolutely nothing and doesn’t do his due diligence as far as research is concerned, maybe that’s the way the owner wants it. But not only did they lose a long-time customer, but this place is destined for shuttered doors. I brought in some very pricey items and memorabilia and the new guy Did not do his due diligence and research to discern vintage 1934 Disney memorabilia and production drawings from the first animated feature to win an Academy award. Another item was a guitar estimated in value at around $1400, and acoustic guitar worth about $300 and a tube amp with a combined value of around $400. I can’t wait to see what the response from the shop is. But anyone that wants to find me, here is my name and I can show pictures of what these are to authenticate value. The new manager of this sinking ship offered me a $600 loan......What a joke. Not only have they lost a customer, but this place should seriously get into a different business because they’re awful at the one...

The only reason why this pawn shop has a high rating is because they use their family and friends to boost reviews. This pawn shop is not very good and sells everything near Ebay or retail prices. People go to pawn shops to get deals and not pay retail. McHenry isn't a wealthy area so the prices have to be reasonable. Is it worth holding on to a item just for looks? The idea is to move it fast and if it sits more than 30 days you loose money. For the prices they charge they should hire a person to dust because some of the vintage electronics. Or show those lazy fat f*cks how to dust rather than talk...

I went to this pawn shop to sell a piece of jewelry and I must say that they will rip you off in a heartbeat ! They are not trustworthy. They told me my 18kt gold chain wasn’t real yet offered me $20 for it and said He wanted to help me out because I told him I was in great need of money. So I declined and went to another place a few hours later and was offered $ 1850.00. It weighed 33.3 gr and was in fact 18kt gold.
