I honestly can not believe how I was treated by kerry and her manager russ at the mchenry location today. I asked for the delivery driver to call when he arrived at my place of business so I could come out anx tip him and get my pizzas. Someone at my work decided to tip the driver on my credit card and sign for my pizza. I found out the tip that was given was more then half of what the food cost. I called kerry to tell her the driver didnt call me like she had promised and that I did not approve the tip amount. She said there was nothing she could do until she talked to my co-worker and he said he signed for it. I told her I am a female he is a male. Look at the signature. I'm not taking him away from his job for something u messed up. She screamed that she is sorry she can't meet my demands and hung up on me. Then called me back 5-10 min later to tell me that she is sorry about the drivers mistake. He called the wrong number and that she would adjust the tip to the correct amount. I told her I no longer want to tip the driver based on the fact that she hung up on me. She then proceeded to scream at me and tell me not to take it out on the driver and that he did nothing wrong. Well he didnt call me like he was supposed to do he did do something wrong and she continued to scream at me so loudly that I couldnt even understand what she was saying. I had get on speaker phone so one of my co-workers could hear how she was talking to me. I was in awe that someone who works in customer service chose to treat someone like this. I told her I no longer felt comfortable speaking with her and i would like to speak with a manager. She said hang on so she could see if he was busy. He was busy and she asked if he could call me back. At first I said ok but then i decided I wanted to hold because I didnt know if or when he would call me back. Then she changed her story and said he wouldnt b in until 4. My coworker called to try and get something resolved and got no where. At 6 pm I called because I stillhadnt heard from the manager. I spoke with russ the manager who told me kerry would never act that way and our stories didnt match. He said the issue has been solved and that the tip had been adjusted. I said the tip isnt the issue at this point and that I could careless about the money. What I'm concerned about is how I was treated by someone he chose to represent the business. He said that she did nothing wrong and wasnt going to give me a free pizza. I assure u that I did not want a free pizza. I have a job and can pay for pizza myself. What I do want is some sort of acknowledgment that how she treated me not once but twice was wrong and that it should be corrected. His response was hes not giving me a free pizza. Again not what I wabted do I asked to speak to the person above him. He said there is no one above him. I said who signs ur checks. I would like to speak to them. He said he signs his own checks. What really gets me about this situation is after reading other reviews I know that I am not the only one who has been treated poorly by papa johns employees and managers. I can assure you that I will never go there again and I would deter anyone from eating there...
Read moreI am more than disappointed in the McHenry Papa Johns and Mandy the Manager! She has no customer service skills whatsoever! She said she would rather loose my business and have me tell all my friends that the McHenry Papa Johns sucks than help me by making me a happy customer! Heres what happened... Fri night when the pizza arrived the driver apologized for not bringing the correct order saying that they didn't see my instructions until after the pizza was already cooked. There was no phone call from them asking if I wanted to wait for the order to be fixed, they just delivered the wrong order and told me to call the manager and they would take care of the problem for me. Since it was already 8pm it was too late to fix the problem on Fri, I had to feed my family! I ended up making the kids chicken nuggets and served Pizza to the adults and forgot to call that night. The first opportunity I had to call the Manager was Sunday. Mandy said she remembered my order and it was not their fault that the order was not delivered correctly but since I did not call Fri, she did not care to help me! I am appalled at her callus attitude and poor customer service skills and I think she has no business being in a managerial position! FOR EXAMPLE... If I pay you in cash and you TOUCH MONEY, as soon as you are done you should wash your hands AND THAN go and make food....
Seriously we just got through all the crazy cleanliness rules from covid and people still don't know how to wash their hands that we were supposed to have learned when we were little kids??? IT'S COMMON SENSE!!! WASH YOUR HANDS BEFORE YOU TOUCH FOOD.... ESPECIALLY OTHER PEOPLE'S FOOD THAT YOU ARE GETTING PAID TO MAKE.....
I don't get it. The people there are nice and they make everything really fast and do it right. But that's the biggest problem and unfortunately it's the most disgusting problem to....
So hopefully they do better and not continue this trend. Seriously people watch what you do and how you make their food.... And that goes for any place making...
