I heard of this fantastic gem by word of mouth and knew my family just had to check it out!!!! Despite living 40 minutes or so away. šŸ˜€ But we're so very glad we did because this playground/park is truly one of a kind "locally" and is one of the best playgrounds/parks I've ever been to! It has so much to do! There's something for everyone in the family! Such as: swing sets, several slides, a ginormous castle theme area with slides and other goodie fun activities to do on it, they even have a rad "rock" wall that kids seem to find to be a blast to climb all over! They also have a "sand hill" that kids love trying to run up to the top. It's a little bit of a challenge, but I think that's what the kids like most about it, well besides being able to play in a huge "sandbox" type area! This playground/park even has a skate park for the kiddos to skateboard and roller skate/blade at, as well as has several other very unique play structures and a separate 'little kids' play area. Lest not to forget about another HUGE (and likely main attraction to the playground/park) part of the entire playground/park is the giant water field area. It has numerous "spray holes/water fountains" that shoots water several feet up into the air that is planted on a soft floor bedding for everyone, YES, of ALL ages, to run or walk on and getting wet from the water during those hot summer months and other warmer days of the year!!!!

There is so much more I could say about this playground/park!....................... Oh! Like I just forgot to mention, there are tons and tons of picnic tables here, too, for family and friends to have picnics on or there's more than plenty of nice grass areas all around the playground/park where one (or many) can enjoy a picnic as well. They do have nice restrooms to use when your bladder, or whatnot.... is calling, water fountains to drink from in case you forgot your drink and get thirsty. And one of the best things of all, in the summertime (give or take nice, warm, sunshiny other days of the year) they have a little shop that opens and sells things like drinks, snowcones, popsicles, and other frozen and non frozen treats to the public! Plus I'll mention that the playground/park is kept safe by an on duty security guard type person, or maybe it's a legit cop (due to the looks of the cars they drive anyways).

All in all, this playground/park has literally, nearly, everything you would need to have an absolute fantastic time at with your family and friends!!!! I HIGHLY recommend checking it out asap! Even if you live a distance away, like I stated above, we live about 40 minutes from here and still go here several times a year, it's very much worth the drive!!!! My family, and friends, just love this place!!!!

GO CHECK IT OUT FOR YOURSELF!!!! YOU'LL...

It was a beautiful day and I decided to go to the park. I picked the one in McMinnville Oregon called Discovery Meadows Community Park. For one thing I walk with the aid of a walker and the Park is mostly cement and grass so its easy for me to get around , that and they have big handicap bathrooms. As I looked around the park I noticed they had 2, places for the children to play on the equipment. One for the larger kids and one place for the smaller kids to play on. Then in the middle of the park they had a place where water came up from the cment ground so the kids could play in the water. It looked like so much fun as I watched the children play in the water. Then they have a covered picnic tables area where there was a kids birthday party going on, all the kids were having so much fun. Then if I looked out across the lawn of the park it had a medium sized skateboard park and there were quite a few kids over there having fun. The park had more picnic tables so I found me one and sat down to eat my sack lunch I had packed myself. When I was done with my lunch I looked at my watch and it said 4:00 it was time for me to get going home so, I cleaned up after myself and threw my garbage away and headed for my car. I had a nice day at the park. If your kids ever say there bored pile them up into your car and take them to the Discovery Meadows Community Park theres fun to...

This is one if the coolest free city parks ever! There are a few different areas of the playground with a really tall play structure for older kids, and small play structures for littlest kids. There’s also a climbing wall, zip line kinda thing, and a really big sand lot with a volcano-kinda thing in the middle that is deceptively difficult to walk up because the sand makes it slippery! PLUS there’s a splash pad water fountain wet area! That part is not open year round. I mean it’s open, but the fountains aren’t running in the winter. All this is surrounded by covered picnic tables, very large grassy areas, walking paths covered by trees. Car parking. Bicycle parking. Clean bathrooms. Friendly clientele. We entered from the east side of the park where there is pedestrian access. On the west side of the park near the vehicle entrance, there is a skate park! And 4 half basketball courts, plus a boulder, I guess for bouldering.

If you choose to give a thumbs-up šŸ‘šŸ½ or not, I hope you found my...

What a rad find! After eating lunch at a brew pub in town, our waitress recommended this place for our kiddo to run off that wild toddler energy before driving back to Portland. They have several play structures for big kids and little kids. The tall structure's slides are super steep and fast, probably the first time I've been nervous going down a slide with my 2 year old on my lap! There are a lot of open-ended play type obstacles, rock climbing walls for both big and small kids, as well as some of the more traditional play things. Also a splash pad! I will definitely be adding this as a stop along the way next time we hit up wine country!

In town visiting for family gathering and wineries. Wonderful park in the area to stop by, something for kids of all ages. Lots of room with shaded / unshaded seating and picnic tables. Playground "castle structure" spans several levels which is pretty cool. There's also a large sand area and open fields room to play ball. We visited a Sunday morning and was pleasently surprised it wasn't super busy.
