McSherrystown Loyal Order of Moose — Attraction in McSherrystown

My girlfriend and I were traveling to Gettysberg and were excited to stop by this moose lodge. We took a longer route to get there and were greatly disappointed. We have been very welcome at every lodge we have ever gone to except this one. After telling the server that we were from out of town and it was my first time there was no welcome. The only thing she said was we don’t accept credit cards and we don’t run tabs.

We had one drink and left. We ordered our initial drinks and I had to go to the ATM and my girlfriend and I were talking and the server stood in front of us waiting for her $6 as we were in mid conversation.

I personally was very hungry and wanted food, but after the reception we received, we decided to leave.

Had the server been a little bit more welcoming and receptive to visiting moose members we probably would’ve stayed and tipped her very well, however for the first time in my life, I didn’t even leave a tip.

This moose has got it altogether, always alive with members enjoying them selves, they hold lots of events, have a kitchen that is run like a restaurant, the menu has lots of choices and specials at very reasonable prices you can't beat, they are a model of what a Moose...

I love it here! My dad has a membership and sometimes I'm lucky enough to tag along. Drinks are made right every time, food is fast and always good & I love that you can still smoke inside! I love going to the Hanover...
