North 5th Street Diner — Restaurant in McSherrystown

My friend and I ate there today for the first time and everything was delicious. The Waitresses were absolutely friendly, congenial, knowledgeable, and professional. The service was fast they're proficient and everything is clean. It's wheelchair accessible, the bathrooms are very close to the front door which is good. The Waitresses also bend over backwards to accommodate people and help them. Very friendly place it seems like a lot of locals go there which is nice. They have parking on the street and a small parking lot B-side the place. They have a wheelchair ramp to get people in to the building. If you call ahead they will make accommodations for you. They only serve breakfast and lunch their hours are 5 a.m. until 2 pm. But it's very nice. They may have other hours too, you'll have to check there web page. They have a nice menu to pick from. First time here and I think I found my future retirement breakfast hangout. Good amount of seating for a small hometown diner. Great atmosphere with groups of friends that obviously meet there often. Delicious and affordable food that spans breakfast and lunch. I had the sausage, egg and cheese biscuits with sausage gravy with a side of potatoes. Delicious. Came out piping hot. Needed a little salt but that's a good thing. Looking to cut back on sodium this dish will help. Also ordered hot tea. $8 for my meal and $1.65 for tea. Didn't feel rushed at all after we ate and was offered more tea and coffee while we sat and talked. Make sure you give this place a try but don't make it a one time thing. Go back...

I love this place. The order is always accurate and the prices are great. If you go for breakfast and your meal comes with breakfast potatoes, i would ask for fries instead. For what ever reason, the potatoes always comes out,not cooked the whole way through. I order them crispy but it never comes that way. Their omelets are the very best anywhere in this area.
