Welcome to Freedom Barks, located within Freedom Park, Medford. I have no idea how many acres this place covers, because it just truly seems endless. When you first walk in, there's a fenced in area to the right, and it looks like there's some agility course equipment in there. Mostly, though, the first area is just a hugeee field where all the dogs are greeting one another. There are a few wooded-ish trails you can take from there. Some trails lead to waterways/small ponds, and others lead to meadows, but all lead to more dogs! We've never encountered a poorly behaved dog there (occasionally, you will see an owner keeping their pal on a leash--you know to give them plenty of space). Read moreThis dog park is amazing and only 30 minutes from Center City Philly. It’s HUGE! It’s so big you could seriously get lost. There’s several fields the size of football fields and tons of woods for your dog to explore with a stream that runs almost the entire way through it and a little beach area we here the water if deep enough to swim.
There’s also seating along the trials for people.
In the first field there is even agility equipment for the dogs to play on. There’s so much room and so much to do though it seems like not many dogs use it.

Your dog will love this place! It’s...
Read moreThe park is amazing with so much to offer to dogs and their owners. As a visitor to the area who googled dogs parks near me, I was not aware that the large park amenities with multiple fields, creek , trails, do not actually contain your dog. The contained area is the designated fenced area that is viewable once you enter the main gate. I have a runner and he enjoyed everything the park has to offer. I just didn’t know the entire park was not fenced. My bad! Thanks to the kind and helpful people in the park, my dog and I were soon reunited after a bit of a scare when he went through the trails. So a truly one of a kind amazing park, and for new visitors , recommend reading about it and it’s fit with your...
