Where to begin... My family and I decided to try this place out for their breakfast buffet one Sunday morning. We called and asked the young lady if they're still serving breakfast in which she replied "yes" and that it stops around 12p-1p. Once we get to the restaurant (@10a), we were told that the buffet was only lunch but we could still order breakfast. Annoyed, we moved on and decided to order from the breakfast menu. We got 2 orders of pancakes (one with strawberries and one with bananas) as well as a banana smoothie. The pancakes tasted like they had been left in an oven in the middle of the Sahara... after being licked by camels. I asked the girl for syrup and after a few minutes, she brings us packs of jelly. I thought this was an attempt to give us anything as they ran out of syrup but as we look at the next table, we see that she brought them syrup. We ask the other table if they asked for syrup and they replied yes but noted that their son stopped eating the pancakes after complaining about a "funny taste". Once we asked the waitress why we didn't get any, she simply shrugged and retrieved 2 packs of syrup from the back without even an apology. The bananas and strawberries were on the verge of rot (see pics) and the smoothie was more like overly sweetened banana milk. We asked for the check and left everything on the table. Between the service and food alone, we will never return...
Read moreI hate to leave a bad review because the staff was very nice but it was just weird. The fajita was essentially just fried peppers and onions with some meat, almost like a stir-fry. The cheese was mixed in to that and melted at the bottom and everything was served on a room temp plate. No pico, no lettuce etc. when I order fajita Im accustomed to getting the fried peppers, onions and meat on a hot plate or cast iron and then a cold side plate with pico, lettuce, shredded cheese and maybe some condiments. We didn't get that. Also had tacos and they were bland so I asked for some sour cream and to my surprise I was told that sour cream was going to cost extra. I've never been to a place that charges extra for a condiment. I declined that and then noticed there was no hot sauce on the table either. I didn't ask for any hot sauce at that point since they had just tried to charge me extra for a different condiment. Nice place but I won't go back there. We didn't enjoy the meal. I've never had fajitas like this and the food was bland...
Read moreBeen supporting the 3/$10 (cash only) food truck since it arrived in Mt. Laurel. Food is good, but WATCH the charges! Prices went to 3/$12. OK, I get it, costs are rising. Paid cash, rude young lady tells me it's $13. When I ask why, she tells me "sales tax" The NJ sales tax on $12 is not $1. So I decide to pay with a card instead, and asked for a receipt. She explains that she is unable to print a reciept (despite the paper roll extending from her hand held card processor). I ask how much she charged my card, she says $13. I check my bank while I wait for the tacos. $14.88 is charged. Card fees on $13 is not $1.88. When I ask why she charged $14 88, she has no explanation. It's not the additional $2.88 above posted prices, it's the principal. Giving a 2 star (rather than 1) because despite the shady transaction, I appreciate the small business hustle. That $2.88 cost them a customer, though. I...
