Main Desk: engaging & friendly Wait time (walk-in): ~ 2 minutes Service: Dip Removal & Dip Manicure
Nail Tech: 1/10
Errors/Issues in no particular order: Overfiled Nails until they burned Overfiled tip of nails (real nails) to the point of craters, uneven thickness & hot spots After wrapping my nails in gross tabletop cotton pieces /aluminum & having me put my hands/nails under the drying lamps they decided that was the best time to put colors in front of me partially covered & fanned out. Then they acted surprised when I didn't know what color I wanted. Tech ripped cotton & then tossed them on her station & just doused them in nail polish remover No clean tools taken out of pouches or fresh throwaway files Nails being dipped into the main Dip powder container Wasn't asked to wash my hands until practically the end of the session No cuticle care with manicure Upon removing nails from the aluminum they started scraping my nails in an attempt to peel off the prior dip power Without removing all previous dip power, the nail tech decided to just start the new dipping power (went from maroon to a clear-ish color w/ a hint of pink). After the base coat & their attempt at 1 dipping of new color, I showed the nail tech all the pigment left over. At which point they stopped & looked puzzled. They eventually grabbed a bowl of nail polish remover & had me soak for less than a minute before they just started filing again. Instead of little to no reduction in length, the tech just kept filling my nails shorter & shorter. Thus causing the nails on the right hand to be shorter than the left hand What should have only taken ~ 45 min took over an 1hr & 38 minutes Upon checkout they were stalking me at the desk. The tabletop of the station wasn't clean & no fabric or towel separating my hands from the table.
Once they stepped away the (owner) asked if I liked my color & service. Upon showing them & telling them what happened they were very apologetic & offered to fix them right then & there, but I was unable to stay any longer due to the nail tech's error (ended up missing my evening appt due to them). The owner assured me that they would provide me with another nail tech if I returned. They also provided me with a $20 coupon for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFor nearly a decade, I was a loyal customer of Beauty Nails, but my recent experiences, particularly with Kim (an owner) and Lanny (a tech), were appalling.
My last visit was triggered by a previous appointment where Kim and Peter did my nails and pedicure. Kim's work was shockingly sloppy; nails were uneven with gaps in the acrylic despite being freshly done. She acknowledged the poor quality and told me to return. I wasted time driving back only to be told Lanny wasn't there to fix them.
When I finally returned, Lanny removed my entire set instead of just fixing the four bad nails, despite me explicitly stating I was NOT paying for a full redo. I reiterated this multiple times, even asking if Kim was paying her. Lanny remained silent. Kim, who was openly avoiding me, finally addressed me only to dismiss my concern about payment, saying "we'll talk about it later," then spoke to Lanny in Vietnamese and walked away. It was clear Lanny was being forced to fix Kim's mistake.
The final, unacceptable straw came with my last appointment with Lanny. I had booked it specifically to tip her for the forced redo, anticipating leaving the salon for good. However, Lanny was nasty, cold, and deliberately inflicted pain, pulling my hands roughly and squeezing my ring finger and pinky into my diamond ring repeatedly without apology. Her petty and childish behavior was utterly misplaced; her anger should have been directed at her greedy boss, Kim, not me.
After years of loyalty, bringing Christmas gifts, and generous tipping (including for missed appointments), to be treated with such disdain and intentional harm was infuriating. I left without tipping Lanny, as she completely forfeited it with her unprofessionalism.
Kim is a greedy, manipulative fraud who fakes not understanding when confronted with issues. While Peter and some other staff are kind, the management's unethical practices and the resulting poor service, especially Lanny's behavior, are unacceptable.
There are countless nail salons in Medford. I happily found a new place and will never return to Beauty Nails....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGot a full set two weeks ago from Ana . It was perfect ! Came back for a refill and a sea salt pedicure. After shaving more then 3 of my nails to a point where it burns š¢ I decided to walk away with my feet wet and toes burning ⦠I have sent over 6 people to this nail salon and I DO NOT REGRET IT . Some people are just not meant to do pedicures and ANA IS ONE OF THEM .. šš¢ I spoke to owner and she apologized so many times and said we are family . Tom painted my toes (definitely hurt) āto make it look betterā . He did a great job on the refill . Mom wanted me to put in a police report however the owner was very apologetic and sent me the best of the best TOM to proceed with my service ! Overall I will not go back to Ana but I will still come to this salon because of the friendliness and because of the reviews . All of my family had absolutely no problem here and we love it here ! Again this experience was HORRIBLE but the owner made sure I left happy with my nails. Still not excited about my pedicure but I will be back to get a special pedi in hopes Tom does a wonderful job ! Thank you Kim (owner) and I will be back ! I would have rated only one star due to my experience however because of my experience towards towards the end, I am rating three stars. My first rating was five. I hope to go back to a...
