tl;dr - There is no conspiracy here; the negative reviews on Google, FB and Yelp are accurate. If your manufacturer (e.g. LG, Samsung) or retailer (Lowes/HD) has chosen Roth Electronics to service your appliance, consider asking for another local company and do your due diligence.
Timeline & Summary: On July 25th 2022 I contacted Samsung to request diagnoses of a unique noise emitting from our brand new refrigerator. Samsung engineering listened to the noise and determined the decibels were above average. Samsung assigned my ticket to a local repair company (Roth Electronics) for further diagnoses and repair.
Roth Electronics has a perpetual backlog of work orders resulting in a 3-to-4-week lead time for repair work. To help remedy the backlog, the organization has a system called pre-screening which uses information from the customer along with years of experience to pre-order parts and make quick diagnoses. After years of appliance repairs, the Company has a general idea of what fails the most per appliance. This is an efficient process. But what happens when pre-screening fails?
Roth Electronics pre-screened my ticket by listening to a recording of the noise and reviewing a picture of where the noise was emitting from. The Company diagnosed that the compressor was rattling and should be replaced. A compressor was ordered and in late September and a repair appointment was scheduled.
When the technician arrived to my kitchen, he stated that it was likely not the compressor making the noise. This was based on the type of noise (not a rattling sound) and the location of the sound (not at the compressor). It was suggested by the technician to continue with the compressor replacement as they had the part on-hand and it could not hurt to swap. The compressor was successfully replaced, and the noise came back. The compressor was CLEARLY not the root cause of the noise.
What happens when the pre-screening process results in an incorrect diagnosis? Will Roth Electronics continue to diagnose the issue and continue with repairs?
No. Roth Electronics closed the ticket with Samsung stating the work was performed and the obligation fulfilled.
Conclusion:
Roth Electronics failed to take accountability that the pre-screening process was incorrect. The compressor was never the issue. Roth Electronics closed the ticket with Samsung as complete and moved on to the next job.
Roth Electronics was hired to fix a noise and five months later (12/19/2022), the EXACT same noise is still present. How can anyone consider this issue corrected?

Read moreCalled for a warranty repair on an LG fridge. They gave me a appointment about 2 weeks later. Said they would contact me before to set the schedule for the appointment. Never contacted me. I called them to find out what was going on and they said they were not able to come because they hadn't received information rom LG about the warranty. I contacted LG and LG claims they had no information from the repair shop. I have no idea who is lying but one of these sides is just making things up. I don't know why there is an appointment set for 2 weeks later if they proceed to either never contact whoever they need to get parts, or never contact my in the meantime to say there is a delay. I guess if I hadn't called they would have just not shown up for the appointment time they gave me.
Edit: Since he responded I will too.
My wife had called set up up the initial appointment. We never got a confirmation they were going to arrive. I called back and they said they never made an appointment. I called LG and they had not had any information from Roth about the repair. I was about to schedule another repair with a different vendor which was fixed in about 3 days.
So as a recap. Called LG and they gave us the information for Roth. We called Roth and they gave us a date about 2 weeks out. Never showed up. Said they hadn't heard back from LG. LG claims they never had information from Roth. LG even gave me the Approval Number. I was able to schedule and have the fridge repaired before Roth said they would even be able to attempt to come out.
Somehow another repair tech was able to come out and everything was solved in 3 days despite being told by Roth this...
Read moreThis Company is completely disrespectful, disgraceful, racist, and dishonest . Hereâs why I am stating this: Before they even sent someone to diagnose the problem, they ordered unnecessary parts for our stove , which took almost 2 weeks to arrive. Then they sent out a racist employee named Ralf that offended us in our home once he heard my wifeâs accent by saying we are no better than anyone and we need to go out to eat! All because she asked if they can expedite the next appointment since we have been 2 weeks now without a stove! We have health reasons as to why we canât eat out. So, for someone who doesnât know us to say âgo out to eatâ, with sarcasm , is despicable ! He said he will request the correct parts but never did. His company said they requested the correct parts but never did either ! The reason why I know that is because the insurance company told us that. That is when the insurance company requested the parts needed from the repair company. The repair company said theyâd call to schedule but never did . I had to call several times to request an appointment after parts arrived and Danny had the audacity to tell me that she canât schedule us. The excuses go on and on and one of those was waiting for the parts to arrive even after I told her several times that the parts arrived! Next, she told us maybe Monday or Tuesday but she wasnât sure. She is delaying our repair on purpose because we complained about an employee who offended us based on our race. Iâm writing this and it has been almost a month and we still donât have an appointment! Save yourself a huge headache and donât do business with...
