It's unique that it's not the typical open area dog park. It's a trailed off leash park. Our dog loves to flush and his favorite activity is running around in the brush and water. There's a creek...where he splashed around and there are paths and sub paths. He really enjoyed himself. We drove 20 minutes but worth the drive. So if your looking for an off leash hike-like experience with your dog give this park a go. The only downside is the entrance is not fenced in so if you have a wild one it’s best to keep them on leash until you get to the trail area a few yards away We’ve been to many parks this ranks as one of the best in the city. Many other parks combat this problem by building up the trails or at least putting down wood chips. There niw is a posted notice at the park to contact a parks rep to complain about...

Yesterday we visited the park and saw a service desecrating all of the beautiful trees that have been planted there and ripping out the beautiful wildflowers. Granted, there were many dead trees that needed to be removed to make the park more safe, but destroying healthy trees to achieve that end is very disappointing. We are so disappointed that our lovely park and the beauty of nature is...
