This park is beautiful. Gets gross when it's wet, so prepare yourself. Bring towels and make sure to have a dry warm place to keep your dog for the ride home. We like to go four or five days a week if we can. 90% of my experiences here have been wonderful. It's that rare 10% of bad dog owner you've got to keep an eye out for. But that's true for every dog park. Be responsible, bring a gallon of water to share for the dogs, and clean up after your dog. It's not 100% fenced in, but I've been coming here for years and have never had an issue with that.

Our first visit! The trails are wide and easy going (for those able bodied.) Dog play area is muddy in winter but that is to be expected. Dogs and their humans were friendly and well mannered; all forgave the poor manners of my 5 month old (very adorable) pup while pitching in to help improve said manners. We will definitely be back through the seasons.

Update: 1/15/22 A wonderful place for pups. First time visiting this dog park. I left with a smile in my face. My goddie had a wonderful time and it was a breath of fresh air...yes literally. All the pooch parents were friendly and the grounds were awesome for a winter stroll. Thanks Katherine Kearney.

It's unique that it's not the typical open area dog park. It's a trailed off leash park. Our dog loves to flush and his favorite activity is running around in the brush and water. There's a creek...where he splashed around and there are paths and sub paths. He really enjoyed himself. We drove 20 minutes but worth the drive. So if your looking for an off leash hike-like experience with your dog give this park a go. The only downside is the entrance is not fenced in so if you have a wild one it’s best to keep them on leash until you get to the trail area a few yards away We’ve been to many parks this ranks as one of the best in the city. If you’re into agility training, they have an area with equipment available. This is primarily a trail park not a huge open space - although it has a small space for that. This is off leash, trail walking. Haven’t had any mud problems it’s...

This used to be the gem that all other dog parks would aspire to - used to. Since a few years ago the county park system has basically ignored this park. This is a huge park with lots of wooded trails, but someone has decided to take a weedwacker and slash bushes and trees next to the trails. The trees and branches are left there for weeks, with many of the branches containing large thorns. There are no longer trash cans on the trails to put your pet waste in, empty stands. Many parts of the trails are lower than the surounding areas, so everytime it rains, mamy areas remaining muddy for days. Many other parks combat this problem by building up the trails or at least putting down wood chips. There niw is a posted notice at the park to contact a parks rep to complain about...

My husband and I have been going to this park for over forty years. During that time we have planted wildflower seeds and apple trees to encourage wild animals to make this their home. Yesterday we visited the park and saw a service desecrating all of the beautiful trees that have been planted there and ripping out the beautiful wildflowers. Granted, there were many dead trees that needed to be removed to make the park more safe, but destroying healthy trees to achieve that end is very disappointing. We are so disappointed that our lovely park and the beauty of nature is...
