Describe your experience is the question I have been asked to answer.... Well, I attended this studio over the weekend while visiting my hometown. Unfortunately, my experience was negative, awkward, and uncomfortable. I am inviting of constructive criticism of my practice, but not the type I received while I practiced here. The instructor was borderline a bully in many ways, singling me out on many postures and referring to my home studio in a negative connotation (very unprofessional). For me, yoga is more than making sure my legs are the correct distance apart on one particular day. It is about the spiritual and physical connection made through my efforts, and the meditation that I strive for to have balance in my inner self. I hope that future visitors to this studio will benefit from my review and that the instructor will read this and realize that the methods she used were harsh, non-motivational, and left me leaving feeling defeated. Read moreHOT yoga has changed my life, body, and soul. It is a wonderful exercise that improves your health by increasing your flexibility, strength, and mind power. When I first started, within the first month, I lost almost 15 lbs. and now, almost 4 years later, I am more fit physically and mentally than I have ever been in my entire life. It is a practice that is therapeutic, and the amazing teachers guide you properly while explaining the plethora of health benefits that your whole body receives. In addition to the healthy gains, the studio is a community and you get that feeling your first class. Everyone is supportive and encouraging, it’s a beautiful experience and I feel lucky to be a part of it. I highly recommend this practice; do not let the heat scare you, it is something you will eventually crave and is very important for the postures, so embrace the heat, humidity, and sweat...your body will thank you for ridding itself from the toxins we are subjected to in our daily...
Read moreFirstly, all the instructors are so nice & patient. They don’t expect you to know all the poses. The instructors talk through the positions step by step reminding you where to pull &/or push within your body. Each session I’ve been to has had an array of people with varying levels of expertise, from expert yogis to beginners, like me. It’s definitely hot in there and it’s not easy, but you feel so good when you’re finished. I’ve only attended the HOT Fit & Traditional 26 & 2 classes. The 26&2 is the same every time, same sequence, same positions; easy to remember after a couple sessions. The HOT Fit is a tabata high-intensity; a super fun mix of isometric strength movements &...
