Tijuana Flats — Restaurant in Florida

Went for Taco Tuesday last week, as we regularly do, however, this week, there were 7 adults and 2 children who needed highchairs. As we were moving tables together to find room for all of us to sit together and enjoy our meal, with family we had just picked up at the airport, who couldn't wait to eat here, we were rushed up on, by an older female cleaning tables asking what we were doing, and quizzed us as to how many people we had, and she immediately told us we wouldn't be needing to move tables together as the 4 and 2 top should fit 9 of us just fine. I have been in the restaurant/food service business over 20 years in my life, and have never been so offended, made to feel so unwelcome, uncomfortable and was so incredibly upset that she thought it was best for all 9 of us to have to sit on top of each other, with some having no table top to eat on, and holding our dish in our hands. It would have been better had we ate separately as strangers as 4 and 5 then try to eat together. We have never had this problem nor had anyone ever approach us at the Viera location when have a big party and need to adjust the seating. Quite the opposite, the team there is soooo very accommodating, and friendly and welcoming, happy that we bring them business, and introduce people to their place, like most food establishments are. As much as we wanted to turn around and leave and not give this place of business one dime, we did have very young kids that were hungry so we stayed and ate here for the last time. The next day, (Yes we bring money to the restaurant to buy food not discounted) we brought our business to the Viera location, and will continue to avoid Merritt Island and will definitely stop recommending it to potential customers. There was no reason for what she did, and after she saw how upset we were that we had to squeeze the 9 of us in a 6 top, she still proceeded to hang around and make sure we didn't touch her extra table. I will add that the entire time we were there, there were open tables and no one waiting for a seat. And as soon as we were finishing up and saw a family needed our table, we waved them over to take ours and are always team players like that. Again, having been in the industry, I was appalled at this practice and sure hope they do something about this before you lose those regulars that pay for your restaurant on NON spring break hours as we do. You just lost 9 very loyal customers. Poor...

This use to be such a great restaurant, Tuesday's use to be slammed but the service was great and you got hot fresh food. that was high quality. Tonight's visit made me swear off Tijuana flats, especially this location. The food was cold, and that is the thing that really set me off, I excused and even forgave everything else but the fact that I am paying over $30 for cold food, no service and a rush to close that I walked out, and I didn't even take the food with me.

When I didn't get the Queso I ordered and I kindly asked, I got no response, no sorry, I thank the girl and she gives me stone cold silence like I am bothering her. Okay, I just won't come back. You don't want my business, you give me cold food because you are trying to save money, you don't pay your people a wage worth living, so it's hard to be happy when you put up with people being jerks when you get very little from it. They can't even look up from the book they are reading sitting on the far side of the counter to help, goes to show how little you care. I don't blame the front of house folks, I blame management, you have failed this place, you let a good restaurant go into the shit because nobody cares, you can't teach and coach and support the people working for you to give service that brings people back and worst of all you want to save money so you give me cold food. You charge me and arm and a leg for cold chicken tacos. I can go to taco bell if I want cold diarrhea inducing food with bad service to boot for less money.

Even Taco Tuesday's at this place use to be bangin' now you walk in on Tuesday and the place is empty....

I ordered 4 burritos which were 1 dos Taco and a lill lizard kids soft taco and drinks with all of them which you would think that came with it cuz it's a meal as it's already $12.99 but No it was $91.00.. I could go to Golden corral and feed my whole entire family of 6 with steak mashed potatoes and all you can eat with several different meals and dessert for the same price actually I save $10 it's only $87 for us family of six. And we love your place we get your food every single day pretty much we went there today I'm not paying that price you will no longer see us you lost two good customers that give reviews every day and I spend $70 60 $40 every time I'm here. But this is the first time I've ordered my family of six all their meals and it was $91 it's usually $60-$78 tops which is still kind of high for just a taco and nothing else but chips.. as I order to go every time but with them messing up my order and then them skimping the food and barely put in like six pieces of little steak in a whole giant piece of taco it's not worth me paying this much money. Don't go here it's not worth the money they raised there prices for the exact same food. Also they have this as a burrito for my kids and the rice was so hard you couldn't even bite into it it was like a piece of glass but we didn't see anything because we like eating here but then after we seen the prices today we're not doing this no more it's not worth it .u got to be out your mind for six...
