Dobson Ranch Golf Course — Attraction in Mesa

Our Dobson Ranch Golf Course experience on February 14, 2022. First of all let me say the course itself is well maintained, greens and fairways were in good condition. The downfall is that in 35 years of playing golf we have never been treated as rudely as we were by the staff that monitors the speed of play. The speed of play we had in the front 9 was 2 hours and the 2 hours on the back 9. A 4 hour round which is acceptable everywhere! At the 8th hole one of the staff said we were 2 1/2 holes behind. I have been a marshal to starter in the past. When I inquired about our time I was told that a 2 hour front 9 was too long and we needed to be done within 1 hour 50 minutes at the turn. Then at the turn another staff member said the same the same thing. I replied that a 2 hour round is good time and he said to get back in position, we should skip a hole to catch up. I said that wasn’t going to happen, he then stated “I’ll give you a rain check”. We are from CA so no need for that I said. When our foursome reached the 10th green, with 2 walkers and 2 riders, the group in front of us was waiting on the par 3, 12th to play, we easily caught them and we followed them the rest of the way in. Finally, if they want to speed up play, have the course marked better for distances or add GPS. I would fire the staff as they are chasing away customers rather than having...

I have truly enjoyed playing golf at Dobson Ranch, Many things stand out starting with the staff Andrew is a director of sales has always been approachable and pleasant to deal with along with the sales and service specialist Jacqueline she works behind the counter and you’ll see her out on the course interacting with golfers making sure your experience is what you hoped it would be. He thinks about this golf course is whether you’re a scratch golfer or a 20 handicap it is a playable golf course it has holes that turn to the left turn to the right straight long holes and some short holes the fairways are definitely forgiving if you’re not as accurate as those on TV you won’t lose too many golf balls the golf course always seems to be green so hats off to the maintenance team that takes care of the facility or the course itself do you like to hit golf balls at night during the summers they have a lit driving range, Also part of the staff is Jake, Logan and Sebastian definitely deserve a shout out for taking care of us either at the counter or at the end of the round making sure our clubs are clean carts are cleaned and sanitized they work hard. Bottom line summarized a very cool environment great people and a very neat golf course enjoy it...

This was my first time at a driving range. I’m brand new to golf and honestly was a little nervous walking in. I didn’t know what to expect. I showed up with just a driver I recently bought, planning to just hang back, watch other people, and try to figure things out on my own.

Right when I arrive Carlin came to say hello and welcome me, he was great. After I told him I was new, he took the time to help me out, he brought me some tees, honestly I didn’t even know I needed those, he handed me an iron to warm up with, and actually showed me how to use it. He made me feel completely welcome. I left feeling extremely confident and excited to come back.

If the service is even half as good going forward, I know I’ll be a regular.

The range itself is awesome. The grass (??) feels amazing to hit off, no idea what it’s called, but it’s nice, they’ve added new nets, and there’s a ton of parking. Everyone at the clubhouse was super cool too just good vibes all around. Everyone went above and beyond.
