4/27/20 So the service was great and they delivered 1 week earlier than expected and the guys assembled everything together, which I paid for them to do, and the guys were awesome and even cleaned up after themselves, boxes and all. Very nice, very respectful, and all friendly. The only problems was with the bed set furniture I bought. So 3 days after they delivered and assembled it, one of the boards drilled into the side of the bed frame, that holds and supports the bed and box spring, failed to support and just broke off during the night while my daughter was asleep. When I checked to see what had happened I also notice the 2 middle support legs, that support the mid board beams, were bent to the side. So I called T-D furniture and they are sending someone out tomorrow to come fix this problem but the things I'm worried about is that there are only THREE middle thin support beams and the side support that holds these beams is too weak and definently too thin as well as the tiny skinny middle support legs :( My daughter, who I bought this for, only weighs 158 pounds. And it'd only been 3 days of her sleeping on it and lazing around on it :/ and she was just so bummed and sad cuz it is brand new for her :( So just make sure you check the quality of the support of the furniture you purchase. A Metal/Steel Center Support System Bed Frame would be the BEST SECURE option to go under the bed. So We'll see how tomorrow goes and I'll definitely update you all after :) Depending how it goes my STARS will definitely go up to 5 ;)
UPDATE as of 5/1/20 Sorry for the late update but it took 3 days for them to return and "fix" the problem. By the time they finally had some time to stop by all they did was walk on in, take some pictures, say this isn't their fault it's the manufacturer's fault, but they are going to show these pictures to their boss and let him decide what he wants to do. But in the meantime the furniture bedset was going to have to stay broken. So they did not fix what was broken nor take responsibility for it. But they did tell me this, that this is not the first time this has happened with the furniture bed frame and it happens quite often. So yes I was pretty upset I spent a lot of money on this for my daughter who is currently ill and disabled thinking it would bring her a good happy surprise only to have it turn out this way 3 days after install! So now we're forced to wait to see what they are going to do. I guess we'll see where I take this whole situation from there, I am one customer they do not want upset. I will keep you all updated!
UPDATE as of 5/5/20 So for the past 4 days I have been waiting for a manager to call me back as the installers told me how boss would call me and let me know what they were going to do. No one has called no one has tried to reach out from the furniture store at all so about 40 minutes ago and the boys showed up unannounced to my door, no call, nothing saying they're there to pick up the bed, no previous calls to let me know this was even happening or that they had a solution, I HAVENT HEARD FROM ANYONE! So I told the installers no I already fixed that problem and I ended up ordering a metal bed frame and centering it between the bed frame and putting the bed on top of that to make it even more secure and sturdy and fixed it myself since we hadn't heard anything from anyone at all and no one called me back that past 4 days. I called the T-D furniture and spoke with a Tom who argued that his installers had been calling me the past 3 days, and I told TOM the same thing and no they hadn't called at all. I called the store a day ago and the lady told me they had NOT called back yet and had another customers phone number on my file. A manager should have reached out to me personally to tell me what was going on. Tom apologized in the end followed by but if his installers said they called then he has to believe them he has no choice and giggled and said the manufacturer would fix it. They ordered the incorrect bed and when i notified them of this error they refused to work with me. I was told id have to either keep the furniture that i didnt pick out, pay 80 to return it, or pay the difference, i guess the original set i had wanted was more expensive and the lady working in the front ordered the cheaper version hoping i wouldnt notice since she was the one who gave me the price and ordered the wrong item and lied stating to the owner that i chose that furniture set. If you wanna deal with liars and terrible customer service go here. Oh and i also ordered mattresses and when they came in smelled like cigarette smoke!
