I tried returning a dress my mom had bought a week ago. I had my receipt and the tag was still on the dress! To begin with, I walked around the store looking for the person in charge of the dress department. It took me 5-10 minutes locating her with help of other associates. When I finally found her( Stella) , she was on her phone having a conversation. Did not acknowledge me at all! Itās as if she got upset at me for interrupting her conversation while at work! I walked with her to the registrar. Gave her the dress and my receipt. Right off the bat she said ā I canāt return this, itās been usedā. I stated, ā No, she didnāt use it. She tried it on. She didnāt like it because she said she looked fat in it.ā She then kept making all types of excuses to not refund me the 130$! She said it smelled āspicyā whatever that is⦠funny thing is she had a whole face shield onš I asked her how can she smell if she has an entire face shield on! She didnāt answer. The original price was still there but the discounted price tag was faded and thatās how my mom bought the dress. The associate said that it was sweat that did that to the tag. Mind you, this dress was in a closet for a week in the bagš Point is! Donāt spend money at Dillards! The associates will make up any excuse not to refund you your money even with a receipt and original tag attached in the original dress bag! When you shop with them, theyāre all smiles! First let me say I donāt wear makeup. The tags were in tact on the outside of the item so it was evident that the item was not worn. The sales person called a mgr LILLIA (Hispanic) who refused the return said she was the only mgr on duty at the time. I walked around the store to see if there was another size available on another item when I was actually approached by another sales person . I asked if she could do the return at which point I was told that the MGR LILLIA had sent an email saying not to return any item from the Black customer! WOW WHAT! I was in total SHOCK. Called the store Mgr Jenny (Hispanic) the next day who promptly told me they would not do my return⦠I explained that I had not examined item when purchased and that how it was and she refused and told me I could do a review if I wasnāt pleased . I said,"Yes, I'm looking for a jacket." She said,"Okay, let me know." and stayed behind the register. When I didn't find what I was looking for, I went up to her at the register and asked, " If I didn't find what I was looking for, can I order it with you?"Right away, she says,"No!". No question, just no. Then I informed her the item was there in store, just a different color. Then she yelled, " No! I need the number, I can't do it without the number!". I would have been happy to pull up the number for her on my phone but decided I was not going to complete a transaction with this rude lady. I left to another area, the Psycho Bunny section. A man walked up to me immediately as I heard him finishing up with another customer. He saw me looking at the Psycho Bunny Shirts and asked me if I needed assistance, I said yes, and he politely helped me and moved on to greet other customers approaching his area.
