Friendly staff! Piercings were done quick
āāāā I did a quick review because I wrote it while I was in the shop ā but after some time, I am editing it now.
āāāā Update: The owner has responded to my review. I would like to clear up that I was never disrespectful to any of the members of the shop and I never had intentions of not paying for anything. Alex seemed to have enjoyed his experience with us at the appointment because he gave us business cards and asked to see us soon. The only thing I didnāt want to pay for is an Ocean spray for healing. I explained itās because I already have products for my piercings at home so I didnāt meet it. I left an honest review ā not looking to cause trouble with the shop.
Hereās a summary of my experience: I found the shop on Instagram as Iām only in Miami for vacation and I was looking to get a piercing done on a short notice. I saw that they were having a sale ā$10 piercings and 25% off tattoosā so I messaged the shop on Instagram inquiring about the deal. They messaged me back and said that the piercings that I wanted would be $20. Me and my boyfriend went to the shop and it was pretty empty so we were assisted right away by Alex. He told me it would be $60 for my piercings but I told him that I thought there was a promotion going on and I was supposed to get them for $20. He had no idea what I was talking about and when I mentioned Instagram he said āoh okay, you mustāve been talking to my brother. I can do the deal but I need to call himā, which is very weird because according to their page the deal has been going on for quite some time now, maybe since March. So Iām not sure how an employee doesnāt know about it. But he assured me that I would be taken care of so we proceeded. The piercings were done fine. However, Alex finally got a hold of his brother on the phone and he had me talk to him ā Alejandro mistrusted me to tag 5 people on instagram, follow their account, and leave a review on Google. That was not mentioned when I inquired on Instagram about the promotion but I had already got the piercings so I figured why not. I left a 4 star review because I did notice a few sanitary issues. Most shops that I have been to take sanitation very seriously and they take pride in that. Thatās why I did not give this shop the full 5 stars. The shop messaged me on Instagram āhey I see you only gave us 4 stars?? Can you change that??? Can you please let me know when you change it???ā I didnāt take a screenshot because I didnāt think anything of it. I thought it was strange that they were asking me to change my review without asking me WHY I left such a review. So I proceeded to very politely explain myself. I replied saying that I had a good experience but there were a few sanitary concerns such as the biohazard being in a cardboard box on the floor and not in a sealed container (I studied health in college) and there were no alcohol pads ā instead paper towels were used. I knew the risk when I got my piercings, but instead of writing that in a review I figured I would just let them know personally. However, after I replied the shop blocked me. Thatās fine, I just think itās unprofessional being that I was giving constructive criticism in a polite manner.
My advice to potential clients is to be wary of the sanitation and standards at this shop. Me and my boyfriend who came with me were never asked to sign any paperwork or waivers (which is usually the procedure). Our IDs were not checked until after we received our piercings (so we could have been underage). The piercing area is a bit unorganized with packages of needles and materials just laying around the sink and counter with items not clearly labeled. The biohazard material is in a cardboard box on the floor and theyāre usually in a sealed container to prevent any accidents. There were no medical grade materials being used such as alcohol pads or sterile wipes. Just be aware of the risk please!
I hope that the shop can work on their professionalism and cleanliness because they were friendly from initial...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhat a fun place! The minute we walked in, we were greeted by such a lively, helpful guy. Owner, maybe? Iām not sure. But he was helping the artist with translating between him and clients. They worked so well together, very patient with each other AND us, and were so friendly the whole time. The artist is from Cuba, and has only been here for 5 months. We were a little nervous, given the language barrier issue, but let me tell you⦠his work is phenomenal! My brother and I both got tatted, and Iām so happy with how they turned out! Even for having a significant language barrier, he communicated well and often, just through body language, his known English words (like ādonāt move, this will hurtā when he did my pinky š¤£) and having his partner help him out. If we lived in the Miami area, I would absolutely be going back. They were a bit on the pricey side, but that could be the area, I donāt know anything about the cost of stuff here, Iām from the other side of the country. OH! and all of this was accommodated for us being walk ins at 6 on a Saturday. Clean shop, great staff, awesome work. Highly recommended!! I included my pictures, I think my bro is going to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was in contact with Alfredo for weeks before my appointment. I told him my budget and my ideas. My mom and I were gonna get matching tattoos. My mom called him to make the deposit. We show up the day of the tattoo and nothing had been done. Our design wasnāt created. He didnāt even remember what we were getting. He wanted us to pay for our tattoo without looking at the design. My mom asked to see the design first and Alfredo didnāt seem to happy about that. Alfredo didnāt seem to be working for the enjoyment, just for the money.
There were 3 women who came in to get a ear piercing and Alfredo just left. He didnāt come back for 5-10 minutes. The women were just looking at each other and were thinking of leaving. He eventually came back to do the piercing.
The prices were ridiculous as well. Each tattoo was $250, the fee for using card was $34, sold us something for after care for $20, and to get my paperwork notarized because Iām a minor was another $20. We left a tip for the tattoo artist who was Hector. He was very nice and made sure we liked everything he was giving us. He did a really good job...
