Last Call at Hatchet in Hand — Attraction in Middleborough

We were visiting from out of town and someone recommended Hatchet in Hand — and wow, what a great find! This place is absolutely awesome. The western, rustic vibe with all the beautiful woodwork gives it so much character. Their targets are fresh and well-maintained, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier.

They have more than just axe throwing, too — there’s darts, a punch arcade-style game, pool tables, a bar and plenty of space to hang out. It’s open enough to feel roomy but still cozy and inviting. There are both high-top and regular tables throughout, making it easy to relax and chat while watching others throw. This was my first time experiencing axe throwing and it was really fun! Fun to try and fun to watch others.

We had such a great time, and if we lived in the area, we’d definitely plan a corporate or office party here. They’re even adding a restaurant next door soon, which we’re sure will be fantastic given the cool style and atmosphere of the place. The little town it’s in is super cute, too.

This place is awesome ! Wanted to try it out for date night, I reserved online Friday morning for Friday night axe throwing, when we arrived we got offered to use the two lane (that wasn't in use) instead of one so we could throw together, and I'm so glad we did because it was awesome being able to throw axes together at the same time side by side! The staff was super friendly and super helpful, I really didn't think I'd be able to do it, thankfully they gave us a quick tutorial and after that we were left to throw as we pleased! I have been throwing at Hatchet in Hand since shortly after they opened and love it. Having never thrown an axe before I needed some help to learn and Faris (the owner, builder, target replacer, receptionist) was great at providing as much or as little help as I needed.

The atmosphere is great with cold drinks and the music cranking. If axes aren't your thing there are also some video games, giant jenga and giant connect four. You may also be able to throw a spear, knives or a cleaver.
