Lake Isaac is a beautiful park. It is part of the Lake-to-Lake trail. Lake Isaac is a great place to walk and bird watch. Egrets and great blue herons come here a lot. The trail off the Lake-to-Lake trail, goes back into the woods. So for being in a relatively populated area, it's nice. You really feel like you are in nature. The trail though, gets realty muddy in the spring and winter when it's not cold enough to freeze the trail. That being said, it gets very icey when it does freeze. Also, I kind of wish there was a dog doo bag dispenser because people just let their dogs doo everywhere, especially toward the beginning of the trail. Just keep this in mind when walking towards dusk and with a dog. There is an outhouse that is usually kept relatively...
Read moreVery peaceful trails. The parking is a little tight, but I had no problems on a weekday in the after school hours. There is a small wading area, like dip your feet in. We saw some cool birds, but I don't really know what kind. There is a pond that had a bunch of turtles in it, if you really stopped and looked for them. When I was there, it was almost exclusively people coming from work (with badges on) or people walking their dogs, but our toddlers had fun exploring and walking on the...

You will have to cross a major road (Bagley) by Southwest Hospital. The first section has a tunnel over train tracks. The second section has a long wooded walkway that leads to a small play area. Also take Lake Isaac Trail. This one mile wooded walk is great for kids. You pass a pond where turtles frogs and snakes...
