Walked in knowing about 80% what kind of sectional we wanted and after 10min Fred had already given us so much information we didn't know that we bought a completely different sectional then what we had planned. He was very friendly, extremely informative, and gave us our space to look around. Already want to come back to pick out a coffee table and end tables. All the furniture felt as if it had a certain higher quality to it compared to some other stores we stopped at. Between that and the excellent customer experience Fred provided, we couldn't have asked for more. Very excited for our furniture. Only regret is that it's 2 1/2 months eta but thats not Levin's fault.
Update: Furniture arrived but the large piece didn't fit down the stairs into the basement. Headed back up to Levin, assuming we would more than likely have to find something else but Keith informed us that we could custom order the large piece of the sectional to be 2 pieces. $800 more and a 6 month wait due to it being custom which is crazy but we had no choice if we wanted it. Keith helped us through the Entire thing and in the end we left very happy:)
Second update (April 22): Special ordered pieces arrived. Unfortunately, Levin was using an outside company for moving. The two guys ripped up the furniture on the bottom and one of the arms was misshapen. Levin sent a tech out within a few weeks who had both problems fixed in less than 45min. Very happy but wish this hadn't happened in the first place.
Third update (Aug 22): Bought another sectional! Special ordered again and it was ready a month earlier than expected. Decided to pick this one up instead of having it delivered considering the last experience and wanted to save the $200. Long story short, they only included 3 sets of legs instead of four and the special ordered piece is missing the bracket to connect it to the rest of the sectional. Got in contact with customer support. They don't have the legs in stock (big surprise), but they are on order. Happy with them for helping so quickly but can't help but be annoyed that this is the second time we've had issues. Seems like they are having quality control issues which is hard to accept when you spend over $4000 on a piece of furniture...
Read moreI’m not a person that typically leaves negative reviews, but my experience with Levin Furniture has been HORRIBLE. It all started when I ordered a sectional for my family room. I was told by the sales associate that it would fit the dimensions of my family room, which it did not. While the sectional was being installed, my boyfriend and I were informed that they didn’t have legs for the couch portion of the sectional. They told us it would take a week for the legs to come in. They left the couch portion of the sectional up against the wall, and it still is there, a month later. The legs are FINALLY going to be installed this week. The sectional is going to be moved into the living room, where it actually fits. On top of this, my boyfriend and I decided to get a different sectional for the family room that would actually fit. When we went in to pick out another sectional, the sales associate was adamant that we purchase the most expensive couch and love seat (that we couldn’t afford), which was quite frustrating. She also told us that a $1,500 sectional would only last us 2-5 years, which is completely false. We ended up going with what we could afford. At first, we were going to return the original sectional, as it didn’t fit in our family room. However, we loved it and eventually decided that we wanted both. The sales associate told us that was no problem. After a few days, I realized that my card wasn’t charged. I called the store (Levin Furniture in Middleburg Heights, OH), and they told me that I canceled the order for the new sectional, which I NEVER did. As a result of this horrible experience, my boyfriend and I still do not have furniture, and will be shocked if it is delivered and installed properly on Thursday. I will NEVER purchase furniture from this company ever again, and neither should you.
Edit: Levin came without the legs for the second time! What a wonderful company! On top of it, when I called the service department a few days ago and asked to speak to a manager to voice my concerns, they told me the manager would be in contact with me, which never happened. Returned to Levin in late September to purchase a sofa. Again, with Mary's assistance, I was able to narrow down the numerous choices I had to my "Top 3", did a comparison of the 3 and finally selected what I feel is the best sofa, chair and ottoman for my living room! March 2024: Needed an entertainment/media center and Ginny was very patient with me as we walked around the store and looked at each option. I took measurements of my stereo components before heading out to Levin so I was able to quickly eliminate a few media centers that were not large enough. Picked out 3 that were strong possibilities and Ginny asked about the colors in the dining room (carpet, walls, dining room table). I told her I would take photos and return in 2 days. After Ginny saw the photos she indicated that my top pick would be perfect! I'm thrilled and am looking forward to the delivery. Thanks Ginny! You were so helpful and I couldn't have done without you! A+++!
July 2024: Needed a new mattress; one that would be firmer than I one I currently have. Ginny quickly showed me the firmest mattresses they had and was able to make my selection within minutes.
