I rarely feel compelled to leave reviews but in the case of Bambi, and more specifically Anthony in the Middletown location, I think it truly warrants one. As to not leave you in suspense, what an overwhelmingly positive experience it has been shopping with them! After a ton of online research (we also started following them on Instagram for tips and info) we chose first to head to “the prominent big-box baby retailer” to check out both furniture and strollers. What a waste of time! While a representative did help us look up some furniture pricing at one point, there was no one to even be found in the stroller department and my wife and I were forced to stand in the aisle watching YouTube videos to get information and figure out how to take down and adjust the different models. Feeling frustrated we left in search of a smaller store that could help answer some questions and actually be an active part of our buying experience. Hearing good things from others, our very next stop was to head up to Middletown and check out Bambi Baby. What a world of difference! The salesman was busy with another couple so we did have to browse and wait our turn (we recommend going at an off-time if you want to be the only one there) but when he was done, we met Anthony who runs the store. What a fun, down-to-earth guy! The time spent browsing furniture helped us narrow things down a bit and he patiently took us through all of the options we were leaning toward, explaining the differences between each and making furniture shopping about as light and enjoyable as it could be. After feeling confident in our choice, we purchased a furniture set (I believe there was a sale running) and decided we would definitely be coming back when it was time to pull the trigger on a stroller. When we did, again was Anthony, who actually recognized us (despite our masks) and said hello right as we entered the door. We spoke with another saleswoman briefly while Anthony was with another couple, but when he was done, he came right over and we spent a great deal of time picking his brain and testing different strollers. He knows his stuff and showed us the ins and outs of several models. We even brought several outside for a “test drive.” Again we left happy and confident in our purchase. As first-time expecting parents there was a ton to learn and stress about but they definitely helped us tremendously. This is a lie. Once they take your money, you no longer matter as a costumer . I sent this message to the Bambi Baby Instagram messages & it was read . I never was responded to.

I called today to see if you guys would check how I installed my car seat & they said Paramus checks. I traveled . . 1.5 hours and the store said no we have too many costumers . As if I wasn’t a costumer . You guys gave me a lot of attention when I spent $1500.
A guy sitting at the desk to the rightchecked , but reminded me how much on an inconvience it was .
After that I asked a question about my car seat and he said he can’t help & that he has too many costumers
Yet he was sitting at the desk
The woman at the other desk was a complete waste of an employee . She was BeYOND rude , rolling her eyes & said nobody can help me because you guys are busy. I get you guys are busy, but I wanted to wait in line with everyone else looking to get help. She rolled her eyes at me . Very unprofessional and not impressive . Finally she said “maybe the guy in the hat can help” in an annoyed tone .
The young man in the hat was SO lovely . You should rethink your employees and hire people like him. He was beyond nice and patient
Very sad to see , overall, that once you give all your money to Bambi baby, you no longer matter as a costumer .
And let me remind you. I called you guys this morning & they said Paramus is the only one that does it on Saturdays , but it will be busy and I’ll have to wait , but they do it . So i was fine with waiting . I didn’t need any attitudes , eye rolling & being told I’m not a costumer .

Read moreFirst & foremost, the big take away from this review will be two-fold: Bambi Baby is an absolutely fantastic store/experience - SHOP HERE! - and Anthony is such a HUGE part of the aforementioned fantastic store/experience. If you've read through any of the other review, there's a common theme in many of the reviews shared on Bambi Baby in Middletown: Anthony! My husband and I are expecting our first child and began our search for baby furniture earlier this month (11/2020). Our first stop was Bambi Baby, and with no surprise, after two additional stops, our final stop was Bambi Baby! Anthony and his staff are knowledgable, patient, and want you to learn. As an indecisive gal who knows only what she doesn't like versus what she does, my questions knew no bounds. I spent what likely amounted to about 2 hours over two days on the phone with Anthony. He spent time answering my questions, guiding me through potential furniture options based on my aesthetic and budget + safety, and teaching me what I clearly didn't know. He encouraged me to come into the store instead of continuing on the phone so I could truly know what I was purchasing - touch, feel, see more. My husband and I then went into the store - with what truly felt like special treatment though I'm sure the level of attention is afforded to all of their customers - to go through everything we chatted about on the phone and more. A HUGE thing that we loved, besides the personal experience, was that we never felt like Anthony was selling to sell. We felt like the entire sales experience was catered to our situation, needs, likes, and wants - what was in OUR best interest versus the bottom line. Furthermore, he is new father himself, so there is an honest level of empathy and understanding in his recommendations.
