We did not hire Jacques... I can’t help but feel somewhat thankful for Lisa at Jacques because she recommended our venue to us. In the beginning stages of planning we were really hoping to work with an events company that would be our one stop shop for all the things we needed to rent, as well as a company that had worked with our venue before. We thought we had found that in Jacques however once we began planning with Lisa it became clear she was not interested in helping us as we tried to stick to our budget. On one particular phone call with Lisa when I had questions regarding how much we would be charged for specific catering supplies/services Lisa was very rude and seemed to be annoyed by my inquiries. She was very short with me and made me feel rushed, upset and embarrassed for needing to stick to mine and my partners budget which I felt was achievable after looking at the many options Jacques catering menu has. Lisa insisted we would need a “garbage tent” for our servers to clear plates under even though there was a kitchen at our venue that was well within walking distance from where our guests would be dining. When I pushed back against this outlandish upsell Lisa said, “Well I’m not sure how I can help you”. The rest of the conversation went much like the first half with Lisa pushing me to agree to things that I had already expressed were outside of our budget. She was not helpful or kind and was completely lacking in customer service skills that may have otherwise saved the transaction. After the call ended I sent Lisa a follow up email with some additional questions, still hoping to make it work and trying to give her the benefit of the doubt. After such a terrible experience on the phone my partner and I did decide to hire several companies to fulfill our wedding day needs and good thing we did because Lisa didn't respond to my email until three months later. It is clear that this associate has no interest in helping couples who have a budget even though the company itself seems to cater to all...
Read moreWhere do I begin! We want to first say thank you to Aimee who is the Sales Manager for Jacques Reception. Aimee is absolutely amazing in every way possible. She was able to provide a tour of their amazing and updated facility, options on packages, setting up food tasting and being able to work within your budget as best as possible! Aimee is so sweet and caring! She goes out of her way to make sure that your special night or event goes as planned! Aimee is always reachable by phone, text or email and will go out of her way to answer any and all questions you may have even when you ask her the same question 10 times. We can't thank her enough for everything she has done to make our wedding night on November 4th so special and memorable.
Now the food, staff and venue, if you aren't stopping to check out Jacques, you are absolutely missing out! Jacques is absolutely beautiful inside and out. The entire venue makes you want to drop your jaw on how beautiful and magical it truly is. The food: we were able to go to a food tasting and multiple bridal showcases and the food made us fall in love with the venue over and over again. If you haven't stopped by to try their food at a Bridal Showcase, you're really missing out! The staff: We had Mary as our Maitre d' and she was absolutely amazing! We were able to meet her during rehearsal and she made sure to sit down with us and go over where we wanted all our decorations. She went above and beyond checking in on us during the night to see how we were feeling, if we needed a drink, if we ate enough. We want to thank Mary and the rest of the Jacques staff for pulling off an amazing and special night for us!
Like I said before, if you haven't stopped by or given Aimee a call to set up an appointment, I'm telling you, you're definitely missing out on having amazing food, an amazing venue, amazing staff and most importantly.. an amazing wedding night or other special event! We love Aimee and Jacques so so much! Thank you Jacques!
Love...
Read moreI feel I need to write this review to save other people from wasting their money. I got a flyer in the mail for a Turkey and stuffing and candied yams and gravy. I have been having some health issues so I thought this would make my dinner easier. I have made my own Turkey and fixings my whole life. Well thank God my sister and I did decided to still make all of our sides or we wouldn’t of had anything to eat. We had company and family. The Turkey was burnt, dried out and that stuff they call stuffing, have no idea what it was it was watery mush not edible, and what was supposed to be candied yams, was nothing more than a can of yams with some brown sugar thrown on it was gross as well. We ate the Turkey with lots of gravy because of how dry it was. The stuffing and candied yams the whole trays went in the garbage. Never again would I order from this place anything we feel like we paid $200 for a dried Turkey. You live and you learn. Just a warning it...
