Frozen Flavors Homemade Ice Cream & Italian Ice — Restaurant in Middletown Township

I'll start by confessing that I am not an ice cream person. Given the choice, I'd prefer almost any other dessert. So when my husband suggested last night, a windy, rainy night, that we go out for ice cream, I was less than enthusiastic. Here I am a few hours later writing a 5-star review. Yes, it's THAT good.

Pros: The homemade ice cream is absolutely fantastic. My husband had scoops of banana and coffee ice cream. I tried the pumpkin pie and the apple caramel ice cream. We both agreed that all were excellent, but the pumpkin pie ice cream was in a class by itself. I will definitely be back to sample the other flavors because there were so many to choose from. From the standard flavors that you'd expect to the seasonal ones, the variety was impressive.

They also have ice cream sandwiches, sundaes, and assorted cones to choose from as well as Italian ice. This is a huge plus for us, as one member of the family has a dairy allergy.

The shop is clean, bright, and well-kept and the owners are very friendly. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and they were super nice. They also gave us a redemption card that gets punched each time you visit, earning a freebie after your tenth visit.

Finally, the prices were very reasonable. The cost for our 4 generous-sized scoops of ice cream was $9.50.

Cons: There is no indoor seating and at the time of this review, a "cash only" sign was displayed. Neither of these were an issue for us, but definitely something you should know before you go.

I discovered this little piece of heaven last year. I’m an ice cream fanatic and was in the mood for a milkshake. We went to two places and they only used soft serve ice cream for milkshakes, which in my opinion is not a real milkshake. So on my way home I pass by this place and decide to stop in. Not only do they make “real” shakes but it was hands down the best milkshake I’ve had since probably childhood. They also have so many different varieties of ice cream and Italian ice that is so delicious. And the place itself, it’s so clean and as soon as you walk in, you are greeted with the most delicious smell. The owner, Tatiana, is such a sweetheart, always greets you with a smile (and I love the name since it’s also my name lol) Sometimes you go in to the store and the person serving you makes you wish you didn’t walk in because they’re rude or definitely don’t want to be there, so it was so nice to find a place that not only has the best ice cream but the nicest owner. I highly recommend going here to fulfill any sweet cravings and you will not be disappointed! The Pumpkin Pie Homemade Ice Cream is out of this world! By far the most delicious ice cream I have ever eaten! The owners are very friendly and accommodating and they truly care about pleasing and satisfying their customers. You will feel as if you gained new friends when you leave. We have already been a few times with our children and everyone loved it! The ice cream is so smooth and creamy where you can tell it was made to perfection and with a whole lot of love. Being open until 10 pm each night even during the winter is fantastic! I will be placing an order for a homemade ice cream cake for my husband’s birthday this week and I know it’s going to be amazing!
