During a visit to Sandy Hook State Park today with my son, I was shocked at the amount of garbage, pollution and dog feces all over this beach. There was a steady stream of people with their dogs entering the beach area which clearly states no dogs allowed after March 15 which was completely ignored. Dogs are allowed on the bayside which is where I’ve also brought my dog in the past. If you care about the environment and your fellow New Jerseyans, please follow the beach rules. It’s such a shame to see the lack of consideration for others, I’ll be sure to stay away from this location...
Read moreThe bathrooms are adequate and clean before the crowd starts messing it up. Can we please ask the people to pick up after themselves on the beach, flush the toilet after use, bring your garbage with you when you leave.
If everyone does that, specially in the bathrooms, it will be a nice and fun beach to go to. Please be mindful of others by wearing masks when going to the bathrooms and the showers.
The bbn park rangers and lifeguards and friendly and helpful. The entrance fees are so affordable and there are several beach lots to choose from, and trails for biking...
