Large sandy and decked areas with chairs , tables , outdoor couches food truck & bar . There is a large covered area but that doesn't really have a water view , but offers some shade . Beautiful scenery on the water with Sandy Hook in the distance . There isn't a restaurant but a food truck with a large grill area . Food is ordered at a kiosk and everything is paid with a credit card including drinks at bar . Cash is not accepted .You get notified by text that your food is ready . (Food is by Local Smoke barbque. Options include grilled clams , pulled pork sandwich , grilled chicken sandwich , buffalo chicken sand , fries ,coleslaw & several other options . I did see a vegetarian option of portobello sandwich) .We did not get notified, eventhough we did get a text with our order # saying our order was accepted . So beware that if you don't receive a text that your order is ready , just go & check . Our hot dog & fries were just ok . A lot of small fries . Bun was not great maybe because it was sitting for a while & wasn't warm any longer . There aren't a whole lot of shady areas & umbrellas over the tables are on the small side . But there was a nice breeze at 4 pm when the band started to play , so it was pleasant ! The water view was nice too ! It gets pretty crowded so we arrived at 3:30 . No difficulty finding a parking space . seating was limited at that time but we did have a table because our friends arrived 3. Overall a nice experience to dig your feet in the sand , sit by the water &...
Read moreReally hard to review this place...location is great! Tiki bar vibe, sandy spot with little fire pits, chairs that look like they might have been garbage picked (I'll call it eclectic). Very good cocktails made by very accommodating, friendly bar staff with fresh fruit even though they're not really set up for it and ran out of strawberries. Live band was a great addition. Now, onto the food...you have to appreciate what they're trying to do here, freshly grilled fish and burgers, some BBQ and grilled corn. Very limited menu. The burger WAS good, but my fiance's (whole) Branzino was terribly under cooked. A whole grilled fish needs to have some "char" on it to ensure that it's cooked, make sure you tell them "well-done" or "burn it". The corn was also undercooked. You wait in line to order and they text you when it's done so you can sit and sip while you wait. Parking seems limited, so expect to drive around for a bit. Overall, a great "gem" in the rough that will give you a little dose of that vacay feeling without getting...
Read moreThe location is great. Welcoming environment for adults and families.
Drink prices are going up. $9.00 for a draft beer in a medium cup. And the beer was flat too! This is the Highlands not Rumson.
Their biggest issue, which was a major issue last summer too is the food. Candidly, it's bad. They have a food truck with 3 items on the menu. And it's way over priced for what it is. $15.00 for a plain hamburger with no fries. If they want a food truck, they should just hire a food truck vendor already in business that knows what they are doing. The chef their now is clueless and not...
