I had made the mistake of bringing guests who had been visiting from out of town for Christmas to the Oasis Christmas service. My son is a prodigal (and a soldier in the military). I had hoped the special guest singer/speaker would have been a blessing & encouragement to him, which she was. After her performance, he wanted to greet her and thank her. As we walked toward the church platform, a large, stern, bodyguard-type usher stopped us in the isle. We stood there, feeling like idiots waiting for any one of the leadership to look at us or walk over and shake my son’s hand. Instead the leadership clique at the front of the building spent several minutes congratulating each other in some sort of a pretentious, self-indulgent and self-important impenetrable circle—not one of them looked up at any of us. After several minutes we watched them nod at each other and walk off together, still not even a glance our way from any of them!
The few congregants in attendance there were very much the same as the leadership clique, with no one looking us in the eye and certainly no greeting, smile or handshake. For a Christmas service, the large auditorium must have had less than 100 in-person attendees. It seems clear that Oasis had completely abandoned any attempt at local in-person ministry, as they appear completely focused on their online presence.
I also find it strange that there are never any men singers in the worship team. It makes the worship service sound very sweet and one-dimensional with no depth or fire. I had been skipping that part of the service for years for that very reason.
In the past, I’d regularly tuned in for their online services. But now I have a whole new perspective. They appear to be completely fixated and obsessed with their own church leadership titles rather than having a love for people or serving of the community. (The pastor fancies himself an apostle, lol.) Anymore, all I can hear is a clanging cymbal any time I hear any of them open their mouth.
Don’t waste your time with Oasis. It’ll...
Read moreI do not have have a personal experience since I had never heard of this place before a few weeks ago. My post is in reference to last nights healing conference. The first thing that bothers me is the fact that the attendees were charged to attend then an offering was also expected. If the church officials were led by God to have this service, why were attendees charged? Three of my nieces drove 5 hours to attend, each with health issues, one of them with stage 4 cancer. They spent an hour or more in line waiting for prayer. Very few, if any, of the prophetic leaders were still in line praying for the sick people when their time for prayer arrived. One of my three nieces was not asked what she wanted prayer for and was prayed over maybe 10 seconds. I understand that she left in disappointed tears. I'm extremely disappointed in this place. With their experience, I definitely would...
Read moreI love watching Pastor Tim online! His teachings are so easy to understand and give a lot of revelation. The prophetic words he adds at the end really bring the message to life and give it real-life application. The flow of the Holy Spirit is so strong at times, and I've gotten Holy Spirit goosebumps during praying many times. I love that Chuck Pierce also gives prophecy as well. They are both so accurate and on point! This church is so in line with God and so obedient to His instruction! You will be glad you found it! I'm in Wooster, Ohio, and haven't found a ride there yet, but I'm looking forward...
